Lovely welcome from Sian the host who was super friendly, the room was perfect for what we needed. We were asked ahead or our stay whether we wanted the room set as double or twin and it was as requested on arrival. The guest house is on a main road but was quiet at night. Its within walking distance of pubs/restaurants in the town centre (recommend The Old Auctioneer for dinner). Breakfast was great, nice size portion, good quality ingredients and lots of choice of full english or cereals/fruit etc. The location has quick and easy access to the M40 so great for a stop over during a journey. The TV was modern with Netflix.

The mattress was a bit soft but I still slept ok.

Breakfast was amazing, full English cooked to perfection. Room lovely, clean and comfortable. Hosts Sian and Darren were lovely people, friendly and could not do enough for us. Location was 10 mins walk into Banbury and a short drive from Stratford upon Avon which was a great shopping centre. Would stay again without question one of the best we have had the pleasure of staying in. Deborah & Mark from (KENT)

As is on a main road can hear a little traffic noise but that dies down after midnight.

Sian is a lovely friendly host who provides fantastic breakfasts in her lovely front room; cereals, yoghurts, fruit, coffee, a full English - what a way to start the day! The room was a decent size with comfy beds and everything we needed. Parking was no problem, and it's a convenient location for getting out and about (15 mins walk to the train station / 5 mins from the motorway). I'd happily stay here again.

We were there to see a show and had booked this b&b as it was the nearest to the venue with the best reviews. The owners are both lovely and helpful, they told us the best way to walk there. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very bright and cheery. Comfortable beds and all the amenities you would want. Lovely cooked breakfast in the morning too with plenty of it. Would definitely stay here again.

The room and beds were comfortable and very clean. The host was very attentive and friendly. Gave a lovely welcome and cooked a fab breakfast! I always find that sausages are hit and miss on a breakfast and can't stand when they are too Herby/spicy. These sausages were perfect and the meal was cooked perfectly. Thank you for a very relaxing and pleasant stay. Would recommend and will definitely return if visiting this area again.

The host, Sian was exceptional. We requested an early arrival so that we could attend a family funeral and she made sure that our room was ready in time. The room was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast choice was excellent and the cooked breakfast put us on for the rest of the day! On departure Sian gave us advice about where to buy flowers that we needed to buy which was a nice touch.

Nothing really. Everything was explained about coming and going and the stay was excellent.

The room was compact but met all my needs, with an en suite attached. The breakfast was fine - I had the English breakfast but there were other options. The proprietress was very helpful and carried my case up and down the steep stairs. She also helped me to identify a place to eat lunch.

There was only one thing which did not work for me. The bedclothes consisted of a quilt and a blanket and even though I tucked them in firmly between bed and wall they came off in the night twice and ended up on the floor. Maybe other people would not have had this difficulty but it stopped me from having a decent night's sleep.

This property is excellent! We stayed for 4 nights. The hosts are very kind and accommodating and went over and above to help us out with accessing one of our side trips. The breakfasts are fantastic, delicious! The beds are very comfortable and the facilities are very clean. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at Avonlea Guest House.

Host was very pleasant and helpful. Had a small room but it had everything I needed including fresh milk (and a fridge to use if you wanted to in the breakfast room), good wifi, nice size TV, large shower and comfy bed. Had a delicious cooked breakfast. Room very clean. 15 minutes away from the British motor Museum.

Water didn’t stay in the sink. Didn’t really affect my stay but does waste water if it’s metered.

Met my bestie and we went down memory lane as we grew up in Banbury. We had a lovely weekend and couldnt believe how vibrant Banbury still is. Staying at tge Avonlea made our stay so easy. Lovely owner and everything was spot on, comfy bed, great location and yummy breakfast. We will definitely be back :-)
