A beautiful country hotel in a picturesque village. The gardens were immaculate with well tendered flower beds. A spacious terrace at the rear of the hotel was a great place to relax & enjoy the early evening sunshine. The staff were extremely welcoming. We were upgraded to a superior room with an enormous bed & a balcony overlooking the lovely rear gardens. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant which was delicious , reasonably priced & very generous portions. We would definitely return .
The only negative aspect was the location, via a tortuous route from the M40 southbound. The map indicated the hotel was close to the M40 but that was not so.

Lovely property, lots of traditional features and hasn’t been overly modernised- beams are left exposed and brickwork etc as it should be! Several staff members were exceptional! Josh was always friendly and helpful, a lovely lady I think is one of managers was working on the Sunday evening and was so nice and friendly and just a genuine lovely person. A girl who did breakfast on Monday morning was super busy but had a smile all the time and kept everyone feeling well looked after! A tall girl with blonde plaits was very helpful and was excellent at clearing tables away and cleaning them without disturbing people, no banging around (which another staff member seemed to make a habit of! And should watch her tongue about mocking other staff in earshot of guests!!) The breakfast was excellent!
Some areas could have been cleaner…. Cobwebs we all expect in an old property but stained cushions and tarnished spoons in rooms not so much.. And some things definitely need updating! The shower was very old and adequate at best…. However nothing was grubby or dirty… just perhaps needing freshening up.

Nicely located Hotel, attractive, with nice feel and welcoming. Parking close to hotel. Reception areas with plenty of seating , although some furniture could do with some repair. Nice located area, Outside, of tables and chairs. Evening bar service attentive and helpful as was the service in restaurant. Meal very good and well presented. Room was a nice size, attractive with double bed with was comfortable. Facilities included TV, tea and coffee making and water. Bathroom although good size and clean, missed some important guest requirements. Little things like having shelf or something to place shampoo bottles etc inside shower enclosure. No instructions on how to control for shower heads. Worse aspect was that basin although clean had old taps which unfortunately allowed a dripping tap all night. Towels were well sized. Cooked Breakfast could not be served as there was a problem with chef being unavailable. The receptionist really did her best and we all had continental, I had a weetabix and orange juice rather than cooked breakfast. Overall a pleasant hotel with potential and could be just that much better. I'm sure it will come

Lovely large room and spacious bathroom, all very clean. Food was pretty good but took a long time to arrive. Large carpark and outside seating area very nice.
Bed was a standard double in a room which could easily have held a kingsize or even superking, and the mattress was too soft and bouncy. Every time one of us moved it woke the other. There was a ventilation system running outside the room all night long which was noisy and intrusive as it was warm and we needed the window open. Food service was slow at both dinner and breakfast, the latter making us late for the event we were attending.

Picturesque hotel, comfortable big room, bar and restaurant, big field for the dog to run at the back, nice seating areas to sit in the gardens, staff pleasant and attentive.
Food was pricey for a meal at night, dog charge pricey for 1 night stay compared to other hotels we have stayed in, But this was a stop over to the isle wight, was quite noisey with customers staying and sitting outside talking in the garden area at the front until 11pm. Busy road at the front. (We did enjoy our stay though)

It's clean and comfortable with a good restaurant although the menu is a little limited.Gopd location.Although it is on the roadside it is not too busy. Its definately more of a hotel than a village pub
Why do these rural English places assume theirguests want motown music blasting out We were not even spared Barry White Although to be fair that was only one evening. The service for food is slow.it took half an hour to warm a croissant ans some of the waiting staff are too inexperienced. On the last day there was no Breakfast left

Really lovely hotel and very friendly staff. We stayed overnight for work and had a really nice albeit short time! The reception / lobby is beautiful and our room was perfect for what we needed. High praise for the excellent shower pressure and cleanliness overall in our room. We also could not fault the breakfast - absolutely delicious and freshly cooked. We'd happily stay here again :)
Very small but would be quite helpful to have a mini fridge instead of the empty cupboard space underneath the coffee / tea table. Just to keep small bits like drinks or leftover snacks cool! Very minor though.

The hotel is set in a beautiful village. The rooms are large ,it suited our needs as we were staying a few days. The bed was large and very comfy. The staff go out of there way to help you. We only had dinner at the hotel once, the fish and chips were delicious .
The dessert was a let down , we ordered sticky toffee pudding what a let down, for a start it tasted more like syrup pudding, it looked like it was a portion that had cut in half, it was ment to come with clotted cream, we got custard and cheep icecream. Very expensive for what we got and it didn't taste home made.

Having stayed at the Wroxton on numerous occasions when visiting friends nearby I knew what to expect. My last stay had been marred by the hotel appearing to be deserted and run down a little from previous visits. I was very pleasantly surprised to see the hotel had had a makeover and that the lobby, restaurant and general demeanour was much improved. The staff were friendly, the room on the ground floor was very clean and very big and far enough away from the party we were attending to be quiet. The party was well organised with excellent food and the staff were attentive.
The price of the drinks was high. I realise that hotel drinks are expensive but these seemed especially hiked. Not sure if it was for the occasion or was the regular pricing but it should be looked at. Everything else was perfect and perhaps Im just a little out of touch with modern pricing. Nevertheless an excellent time as usual.
