I always return to the Lismore whenever I can. Personally I always book the private rooms so have little experience with the main building however sayingthat the building is beautiful and old style which is refreshing from the usual ikea style hotels around. The private rooms are right on the car park and are exactly what they say on the tin. Its reassuring to know what you are getting and be able to fall out the car and straight into bed.

I have been caught out before with the reception closing time. It is at a reasonable time however there not being someone 24/7 was a surprise.

Only one high up window for natural light (didn't affect us as we were out during the day) Some might find it a bit dated, but OK with us Bit of a hill going down to the town for anyone with mobility issues.

I liked how the person at reception could see that I had a lot of luggage and that I was tired when I arrived. He immediately changed my booking to a room on the ground floor (instead of upstairs on the second floor) which was very thoughtful of him. The room was clean and comfortable.

Nice & clean room had all the facilities I needed. Good conversations with the manager. My second stay at the hotel which should tell the moste.

The stairs to the top floor were steep and bendy so I was a bit worried about tripping on them.

Helpful owner let me check in early. Much better than reviews I had read. Spotless linen,very clean bathroom. Had a nice quiet fridge and a fan,much appreciated on such a hot day. Hairdryer there,everything I could need. Lovely character building. Plenty of tea/coffee making facilities. Would revisit if I'm in the area.

No nonsense place to stay. Don't expect The Ritz or any mod cons but the room is perfectly adequate and functional. Could do with a plug point bu the mirror for doing hair but everything else was perfectly fine.

The bed was a little bumpy. Fine for a couple if nights but for extended stay it may become an issue.

I was in the chalet bungalows in the car park which were larger than expected for a single room, had a comfortable double bed and en suite with bath and piping hot water. Only a ten minute walk from town. I’d definitely stay again.

The lock on the door was a bit fiddly but a lovely staff member helped me!

Nice clean room, no hassle stay, good value for money

No one available to return key to as leaving early, had to post through the letter box.
