The friendliness & helpfulness of the staff were exceptional; especially the dining room manager, Steve. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The location is terrific - with a sea view & free car parking. The beds were firm, high & very comfortable.

Because it is opposite the sea, the windows are covered in sea spray because it is impossible to keep them clean! The lighting in the rooms was not bright enough & so the rooms were very dark., although there seemed to be a lot of lights. I think that the rooms are gradually being refurbished as there were little faults - eg the toilet flush, the tap mechanisms & the fixing of the hair drier within a drawer that kept cutting out. I was moved because of the toilet flush & there were 2 hair driers in the new room - one of which was unattached & therefore worked. No bananas at breakfast!!!!!!!! Usually a permanent staple in any hotel I've been to!!!!

The location of the hotel was very good, just walk down the town, you can walk to all beaches, close to shops. The breakfast is 100% very nice well cooked, my favourite was scrambled egg, and the potato bread, great work to all the cooking staff, they do their best to keep up with the food as it was very busy the week we stayed, even the waiters were quick to clean tables so no waiting around to get a takeaway table, they were so friendly, breakfast was a buffet, the fry was excellent.

The rooms have very small openings on the windows, just no air can get in, it was very stuffy in the rooms, especially at night, and when the weather was so hot the week we stayed, the decor in the room wasn't that nice, but the view from the window was nice.

Timed slots for breakfast and last breakfast too early for us. Last time slot was at 9.30 and there wasn’t enough food left. Fried eggs hard and not enough. Food had been sitting out and was luke warm. Sausages poor quality. Fat on bacon not crispy. As a result we did not attend for breakfast on the last morning of our 2 night stay. Suggest breakfast cooked to order rather than a buffet Windows dirty, in room and bar areas, shower rail rusty and beer barrels lined up in the corridor outside the bar area Prices of wine too expensive should provide house wine as an alternative Restaurant closed too early ie 8pm so we had to go out looking for food Suggest a comment box at reception to encourage improvements.

For us, location and view are everything. We loved the sea views at the front of this hotel. The rooms are a bit tired, but they’re roomy, they had what we needed, and everything worked. Breakfast has more choices in addition to the traditional Ulster fry up. Portrush is small town and taxis are scarce even from the train station. It’s a pleasant ten minute walk through town to the hotel. The walk to the bus stop is a couple minutes more. The beautiful new buses operate every half hour to all destinations along the Causeway coast. No car? No worries. Provided you can walk, you can get around easily. The pub in the train station is a nice respite after a long day of touring.

2 full beds in the twin bedded rooms would be nice.

Breakfast - sausages, fried breads, mushrooms, orange juice, coffee from coffee machine all of poor quality and the fruit salad was from a tin, rather than fresh. It was not made clear that porridge was on offer, we only realised when someone else got it served to them. Sausage lying on the floor beside our table. The staff in the breakfast room seemed unsure of what their roles were and so it was a bit chaotic. The dirty windows in the breakfast room were also off putting! Our room was pleasant and comfortable, and the location of the hotel is very good.

Lovely room friendly staff

Very uncomfortable incident with another guest at breakfast between a staff member and a guest to a loud barrage of insults and guest being told to fk off and get the fk out of my hotel apparently allbover her changing toaster setting during service !!!! Tottally unacceptable behavior from staff .it sgouls have been a matter of please speak to my manager .there was also a ypung family present in which they dhould never have had to listen to nor witness this behaviour from staff .hospitality is a hard place to work but at sll time s decorum should be maintened or your in the wrong job .

Our booking was not on there system and receptionist was very rude

The location is fantastic, the breakfasts are amazing, great value for money. Apart from summer months you can park on the street all of your stay, but there is a car park at the rear of the property for residents. The bar has a great range of beers , whiskeys & gins😁& knowledgeable bar staff. The hotel was pretty full but we heard no noise from other rooms

Our room was at the back & wed to keep the curtains closed as there are appartments behind the hotel. Not great for such lovely bright nights & mornings. You Def need a room at the front. Our bathroom was "tired" & needed alot of tlc, & the chairs in the room were worn.

The staff were very helpful, friendly, and welcoming and happy to answer any questions. The breakfast is nice you can't really complain as there is more than enough and lots to choose from. The staff were very helpful as the coffee machine broke so one of the members of staff made coffee especially for us. The reception is 24 hours, which is really helpful as we were in and out of the hotel a lot. Also, we needed to check out really early for flight. There is parking outside the hotel we stayed in december so it was completely free and plenty of bays available. As for the room, we had a Seaview room which had a perfect view of the sea, which was amazing, and another facing the other side of the building onlooking the carpark, which was fine both rooms were really warm and temperature could be easily adjusted bathrooms were very tidy nice big mirror the shower water pressure wasn't great but enough to have a decent shower. Honestly, I would recommend it to anyone visiting and would probably return again myself.

My only complaints about the room were no clothing iron provided with the room, and the tv didn't really have many working channels.

Staff were very friendly and the food was good and a great selection of food for breakfast.

Our room was very poor and needs an upgrade. We stayed in room 203. The paint was very poor and there was up in 30 touch ups of different shades of white. The red wall was very poorly painted and the skirting boards were very mouldy and dirty. Also the carpet was stained and worn. The food tray for cups also was very dirty and there was loads of dust to the obvious eye. The bathroom was average and could have been cleaned a little better. It was overloaded with dust. We paid a fair price for the room, the beds were comfy and clean. I hate to be the one leaving reviews and don't usually leave comments but there were quite a few issues with the room and want to give my honest opinion on our stay.
