This is my favorite hostel in Montevideo, I stay here since 2 years on almost all my trips. I love that it’s peaceful and quiet and that dorms are for no more than 4 people. There is a well equipped kitchen amd enough bathrooms so that you don’t need to wait in line. You can self check-in and if you need anything just send a message to Walter - he will solve all your issues asap. When I was there he came once in the middle of the night because it was really hot and one lady in my dorm asked for an extra ventilator. Also I had an amazing chat with one of the ladies working there! I truly cannot recommend this place more!

When I stayed there there was quite a weird custom that some guests (I guess) if they couldn’t fit theirs water bottles in the fridge were taking out others people food and leave it outside on the table. This way I lost all my food - someone has done it to me in the morning during 35+ degrees day so when I came back in the evening everything was rotten. I think there should either be a different fridge just for the bottles or a ban on putting the bottles into the fridge.

I really loved the warm welcoming attitude of the staff-ladies in the hostel, especially Emmi. The location is great and also the possibility to use the common area after Check-out. Also very helpful information in advance through Walter and on the spot from Emmi. I wanted to come back now for three days but unfortunately no bed was available.

Room No. 4 was incredibly hot, even we had ventilators. I could see the staff undertaking a lot of effort but still fridge and bathrooms were not very clean at all times. It is die to the behaviour of fellow guests and not the staff so much.

Good location in centro. Nice owner (no English spoken). Fully equipped kitchen and good hot-water showers. Seems to have several long-stay guests, but they were very respectful and friendly. There's a cool rooftop with some chairs.

The staff is only there 11-4pm, so make sure to text them by Whatsapp to get your check-in code. Paying with the online link didn't work for me, so I had to ensure I was there during those hours to pay. The men's dorm is right next to the common area, so you'll hear everyone talking and cooking.

Everything a hostel needs, fluffy free towel, female dorm with small balcony , locker. Good security., Otherwise quiet, no party ppl, mostly older guests. Supermarket nearby Bus stop from bus station close by

A bit noisy from traffic if the window is open. Old mattresses stacked on empty bunk.

Everything is so good coordinated, big kitchen with utilities, fridge, clean bathroom with soap, toilet paper and big towel per person, lockers, no mosquitoes in the room, and excellent location. I recommend staying in a 6 bedroom for girls. Bedroom is large with high celing and balcony. Terace is also great. 10/10. Loved staying here.

Staff speaks next to no English I had the room next to the kitchen so it was a bit noisy sometimes until late at night when people are chatting in the kitchen Not really the place if you wanna meet other travelers

Loved the townhouse turned hostel vibe. Thoughtfully set up with a sufficient amount of bathrooms. My (private) room was generously sized, and I found the bed comfortable. The aircon worked perfectly, and the wifi signal was strong and reliable. Staff was very friendly. Location was within walking distance to the bus terminal (20 mins) and towards the heart of the old town (25 mins). There's a nice roof terrace to enjoy the sun. Great value for money.

Overall, the property and in particular, my room could use a refresh, e.g. new layer of paint, clearing out of defective furniture..

Very cool building in a nice location, stayed in a clean room with a private bathroom, staff were nice, everything was in order, and they accommodated our request to check in late no problem.

Charged significantly more than advertised - room is listed as approximately $31 CAD on booking.com and ended up paying closer to $60.

It is impossible to find a better option for this price in Montevideo: - Bedroom: they are bigs, with A/C, and all beds with two sockets, small lamp and locker. - Kitchen: big one, all equipped. - Owner: Walter the owner is a really good host, he will help you in everthing you need. - Location: just perfect, in the city center, close to the old town and to the bus station. - Common aereas: there are ones, including a rooftop. All in all, the place is cheap and it is difficult to find a negative point.

Maybe it could be a little bit cleaner, the common aereas and the toilets, but just in order to write also something critical.

the dorm was spacious with lots of room to move around and store things. Hangers for coats. lockers for valuables. A shelf with outlets and personal light and fan should you need it. Bathrooms were clean and showers nice. Kitchen is great it’s a 30 minute walk to the old city. 25 minutes to the beach or bus terminal. The airport bus is a 4 minute walk.

Not much room to lounge. There’s a rooftop terrace but no place to sit
