Bonne Etoile is so conveniently located on the Punta del Este Peninsula that I would be hard pressed to find another hotel that provides both location and value accommodation. The hotel provides a no-frills accommodation — clean and functional rooms; basic breakfast (with good coffee), and courteous staff.

For physically disabled individuals, there is no ramp up through the main entrance. The staff can make arrangements for wheelchairs to enter through the ramp up to the parking garage. I have a light weight carbon fiber rollator; so it wasn’t an issue to go up/down a few steps to the front porch/main entrance.

The room had a good heating system that worked well during the winter storms. There was ample wardrobe space. The bed was comfortable. The shower worked well, nice and warm shower. Breakfast times from 7:30 to 11:30 ! Breakfast buffet had the basics ( ham, cheese, different types of pan, rolls, cereals, milk and yogurts, coffee, hot chocolate and more). Great staff, always in good mood and friendly, ready to help with whatever you need. The hotel is clean and well maintained, in walking distance to everything on the peninsula in Punta Del Este, good price /value. 100% recommended.

At the Bonne Etoile you get what you pay for - and I mean this in the best way. At the time of year I stayed, it was a budget-friendly option in the middle of Punta. The people in the reception were always friendly and helpful. I felt totally comfortable traveling as a single woman. The room was clean and functional. Breakfast was included. I would stay again next time work takes me to Punta.

The small, family run Hotel Bonne Etoile deserves all five stars: excellent service, great breakfast, friendly and warm atmosphere, clean and well organized and correctly priced. Also, the location on the Brava side of the peninsula gives good protection against the strong winter storms. We like it so much here that we decided to extend our stay for 3 more weeks! 100% recommended!

The hotel is incredibly clean and comfortable. It is obvious the staff/ owners love this place, given how clean and friendly they are! The breakfast was great and has the best coffee in Uruguay! Late checkout available too.

The location is excellent, breakfast is fine, staff very kind.

The bathroom a little small, but is ok, nice shower. The TV too small and installed in an unconfortable place to watch, near the roof. I mention this taht for us was irrelevant becacuse we did not wathc TV.

Everything, therefore we’re back at hotel Bonne Etoile again after 4 weeks in Argentina. Breakfast till 11:30am, and if you prefer, you may enjoy it in your room without extra charge! Small family run hotel with a nice homey feel to it, in a perfect location on the sunset side of the peninsula.

Everything except the breakfast. Absolutely horrible. Bread and croissants looking and tasting like from the day before and no options at all, not even fruits. All the rest, absolutely good for the money.

Breakfast. I avoided having breakfast at the hotel because it was something ridiculous.

A very nice hotel with a lovely vibe. It is family run and all the family members are just lovely.

The photos on the website don't live up to the reality (which is much better). One thing that could be improved is to make the hotel more plastic-free (for instance having reusable shampoo and shower-gel bottles, rather than little sachets. Also, a soap dispenser would save a lot of plastic as the little soap bars were all individually wrapped).

Friendly. Clean, .Great customer service. Good showers. Has hair dryer. Breakfast is very nice. Very good location. I recommend staying in this hotel.

It's a bit noisy. More towels on subsequent days would be nice.
