Great breakfast, great service, great upkeep of the rooms. ... just a cute little boutique hotel! The staff were exceptional ! The hotel has lovely little gardens and a nice sitting area with a fountain. We smelled baking in the dining room and had fresh banana and chocolate loaf for breakfast the next day!

The hotel was in need of a little refreshing (a bit of paint, a new sign perhaps) since it's an older hotel but regardless, it was still kept clean and the appearance was quaint and nice overall.

Outstanding breakfast served from 08:00 through noon (almost lunch!). I did not use the pool but it seemed quite nice. The location is tops, close to both main beaches and a 5 min walk from a strip full of different restaurants. Nice room with working airconditioning, very comfortable bed, good lighting, perfect bathroom with strong hot shower. Easy parking.

Todo perfecto! The hotel and its amenities was very pleasant, the room quite spacious, comfy bed and mattress, nice cleaning and the staff pretty kind and helpful. The warming swimming pool was excellent, specially after a pretty cold beach water. The location is excellent as well as the Wi-Fi connection. A delicious breakfast! Definitely would stay there again!

It's not that I didn't like, but just a small improvement: the bathroom could have a glass door instead of shower curtain!

The staff was excellent. Damian and Mariana at the reception welcomed me so amicably. They were attentive and very helpful with all my questions. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. The servers kept the tables clean and the buffet area with food. The bed was so comfortable and the room always impeccably clean.

I accidentally gave this hotel a poor review when I stayed for eleven days. Obviously it was a mistake because I booked six more days! I thought I was reviewing another hotel. I would like booking.com to remove the previous review as it is definitely not true. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Had an amazing stay! The location was great - very close to the bus terminal, the beach, the Main Strip. The staff was great, always saying hello every time you pass by them. Our room was a very spacious one! The breakfast was simple - fruit, toast, eggs & some sweet tarts. They also provided beach towels for the pool & the beach. All in all, had an amazing time at hotel Ajax !

The only issue we had was at a couple of points there was no cold water when trying to shower. That also caused issues with flushing the toilet. It did however work the following day. Other than that, no issues at all.

I booked for 11 days and was surprised at how comfortable I felt. I never tired from the great breakfast. The location is excellent. I needed to stay another six days in Punta del Este and immediately booked again. The entire staff were so attentive and kind. Thank you all for everything!

The room was clean and the staff was very kind. The hotel is a few minutes away from the bus station, Easy to walk to the beach and downtown.

Great place to stay at an affordable price. The staff was extremely accommodating. Location was great, close to everything, but quiet. Shower was hot and water pressure was good. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will book again on my next visit.

Room and bathroom were small but adequate. Needs a little TLC updating. Breakfast was fine, but would have liked more fresh fruit.

Great hotel in the hearth of Punta del Este. Amazing value for money (at least in February). It has a pretty decent buffet breakfast included in the price. Nice, heated indoor pool. Fantastic staff, super friendly and helpful. You also have the option of late checkout (subject to availability). Highly recommended, particularly for short stays!

Staff was great. Breakfast was very good. A/C worked great. Available free parking a plus.

Pool could have been a little less heated. But it may be a cultural thing?
