the room was very comfortable but the setting was amazing . a nice little farm with a yard and a small pond, fire pit in the back yard and the owners were the friendliest couple we have stayed with. everything was clean and fresh

the room was quite chilly as was the bathroom. we didn’t shower because of the chill, but the water was nice and warm to wash at the sink. and the bedding was very good for the chilly space. it wasn’t so bad as to be unable to sleep. just enough to make you want to hunker down under those nice soft blankets!

The owners were kind and courteous. I was visiting my son and his girlfriend as they have been exploring around Alaska in the Airstream all summer. Homerhome was very clean and sat high on a gradual sloping field overlooking the broad bay with spectacular mountain chain with glaciers on the opposite shoreline. The last night stay had a rainbow above the mountains that seem to not want go away. I especially enjoyed talking with the owners journey five years ago from New York city to Alaska.

No complaints at all. The only thing missing was that my wife who could not join me due to a last minute medical issue. Alaska is amazing.

The location was great with a beautiful view of mountains in the distance. There was a family of Sand Hill Cranes walking in the field in back of the home. They raise chickens that wandered around outside which was very neat! The room was private with a shared bathroom but I was the only customer. Mike and Carol were great people. Friendly and personable.

The location was a little bit out of town, but excellent. Quiet. Gorgeous surroundings. The host was the absolute best! I would highly recommend.

Dinner was provided instead of breakfast The host was friendly, patient, accommodating, helpful and just the best! Enjoyed viewing the wildlife of the property.

One of the guests was not friendly but the hostess had a great deal of patience for this person.

The bed was very comfortable, there was a deck with a beautiful view to relax on, the home owners were very sweet and friendly, there was a lovely flock of chickens that provided fresh eggs which could be purchased, the home owners gave daily meal options to add on to your stay (I didn’t partake as I had a fully packed weekend).

It was a little farther out of town than I was expecting (about 20 minutes to the spit, 5-10 minutes to grocery and “in town” restaurants), the shared fridge was used by the guests and home owners so it was hard to find room for a sandwich and bag of carrots that I was taking on my fishing charter so I didn’t even bother trying to put my drinks in the fridge.

The hosts, Carol and Mike were just fabulous. They were so pleasant and helpful and were really interesting conversationalists. It was so comfortable at their home that we felt more like family or close friends than paying guests. I would highly recommend Homerhome to anyone staying in the Homer area.

Hosts are wonderful, warm, helpful and informed. Having our own bathroom and separate entrance was great. Breakfast not provided, but coffee and access to kitchen made our stay convenient and comfortable.

Microfiber sheets. Not a deal-breaker, but not being able to flush toilet paper should be mentioned.

The owner was wonderful, she made us hot tea when we arrived, she showed us her pet birds in the back yard. The entire stay was above and beyond what we expected. The price was great as was our stay.

Mike and Carol, the hosts, couldn't have been more kind and hospitable! I felt like I was home and immediately. They offer cozy rooms, a private bathroom, and a beyond beautiful terrace and yard. The whole property is peaceful and well maintained. Carol made breakfast in the morning, using eggs from the chickens in the yard! Everything about my state was delightful. I'd come back again in a heartbeat

The only one thing that was a minor setback... Was the distance to town, and the price of a taxi. That was also my favorite part... The distance from town 😉
