The property has a strategic location, as it is within walking distance (slightly uphill) to the UC Berkeley campus, and going there means passing cafes, bars, restaurants and shops. The property does not provide laundry service, but you can find two laundromats within three blocks (in a different direction), passing (again) nice cafes and restaurants. The property provides hot and cold beverages 24/7 in its ground floor lobby, and a snack stall, which is convenient. The room is in the intimate side, but nice and clean, has cable TV, HD TV, has a desk that is laptop ready, with access to wifi and charging stations. The shower room is small but clean and works well. The cupboard is rather tight. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

At the time of our booking, this was a very new hotel and the interior decoration and the vibe were great. Our bed and the bedding was very comfortable. The bathroom was very functional and spacious. To our great surprise, we found the name of a very good friend on the Berkeley history themed wallpaper in our room! Where can I get that wallpaper? The valet parking worked very well for our purposes. We discovered the rooftop after our stay.

Our room was facing University Ave and while I requested a quiet room when I reached the hotel, we were directed to #207 which was not quiet. We ended up closing windows facing University and using air conditioning as a result. It was also not clear where we were suppose to put our suitcases for an overnight stay without completely unpacking. I would suggest installing hinged benches for suitcases that can be folded up when not in use.

We were very impressed with the inner and outer appearance; there were plants outside our 2nd floor room window! The room was spacious, very clean, and the beds were some of the most comfortable we have ever experienced. The heating was very quiet and consistent. The location is convenient to the university, downtown and almost any other part of the city. Both staff members (night and morning) were pleasant and competent.

This hotel is on a busy street in Berkeley but when you go inside you can hardly tell where you are. The room was very clean and modern with updated amenities. The lobby had great coffee and some light breakfast options to hold you over. Parking is by valet only but because the car was secured in a garage I felt assured that it would not be harmed during my stay. I was pleasantly surprised.

A wonderful selection of free and low-priced drinks, an evening social hour, and a convenient central location. The bathrooms (shower, sink, lights, layout, and amenities were great. A convenient fridge and blackout curtains, windows open a bit for fresh air. There's a 7-11 across the street. it's small hotel so nothing is far.

I didn't investigate parking ahead of time and we lucked into a meter just out front that was free (6p Sat until Mon 9a). The property offers valet for $29 but the lack of parking may affect our decision to return unless we plan carefully. Street noise on University was a bit louder than expected.

The receptionist and staff were friendly and welcoming. Coffee and tea facilities were available at all times. The location was within walking distance of UC Berkeley, and restaurants. Hotel parking is available.

There was no in house laundry service. Had to go a few blocks down the street to use a laundromat, but it was good.

Hotel is at a noisy crossing, and the windows have bad noise insulation. The noise insulation between floors is also bad. Other than these concerns, I was completely satisfied with everything.

This is the perfect business hotel for me. If I could replicate it everywhere, I would do it. Coffee in the lobby 24/7. Clean new room with a very good desk and comfy chair. Friendly staff. Free bikes (take a trip to the Berkeley Marina and Creaser Chavez park), Nice Rooftop.

Rooms are very comfortable, most of the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are bright, spacious, and well-appointed. They offer ample complementary products and services. Everything was in good working order within the hotel.

There were occasionally some unsavory characters outside, but that sort of comes with the Berkeley territory. The staff doesn't seem to clean occupied rooms unless specifically requested.

The hotel is modern, clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was fully equipped with everything that I needed, and amenities were perfect. I was very pleasantly surprised!

This is maybe the most nitpicky comment I’ve ever made, but the hotel used some weirdly big pillows which were slightly uncomfortable.
