The location is great if you plan to visit around Hollywood.

Although we booked a room for a family of five, we were given only one room with two double beds and no option to add an extra bed. Since the weather seemed pleasant, we decided to leave the window open for the night. However, we woke up to find the room filled with smoke, likely from a nearby food preparation facility's chimney. Additionally, they should not advertise breakfast, as it consisted only of coffee and some cookies.

Loved that we could find free on-street parking each night. Easy access to the 101 and centrally located for many Los Angeles area destinations and attractions. Refrigerator was nice and cold. Room climate controls were responsive.

Just slightly annoying, but the TV had a series of bright spots on the picture. TV always seems to default to ESPN rather than the last channel we were watching. Couldn't lock the deadbolt on our door. Wifi was great the first few days, then we lost our connection many many times the last few days of our stay.

Shamoy front desk was extremely polite and professional. When asked Shamoy offered suggestions on the best meals at restaurant next door. We received call from desk it was Shamoy he was leaving for the day and noticed we hadn't shut down rental car properly, I went to parking lot he gave me proper procedure for turning car off. More customer service than budget and avis

No surprises. Older motel but rooms are well-appointed. Decent price for the area too. I'll keep staying here when in the area.

A few more snack items to choose from in the lobby would be nice. It's not a real sit-down breakfast offered here - just snacks, but still... the old-school granola bars are just unappetizing and some folks don't drink coffee.

We had a great time and staff was very friendly and helpful. Yes, it is an older hotel, however; that adds to the charm of it. There is a restaurant next door that has amazing food! Plus it is very close to Universal Studios Hollywood and other places.

Over all the hotel is great. The main items would be that the bathroom and shower area could use some shelves. Maybe get some new mattresses.

The staff were friendly and professional. Check-in was smooth and quick. The area where the hotel is located is convenient, safe, and has plenty of options nearby for shopping and dining. The room was clean and large, and the beds were comfy. The room was also very reasonably priced. I definitely would stay at The Mikado again and recommend it to all.

The location was good. Close to Universal Studios Hollywood and easy to get to from Anaheim.

Carpets were very dirty to the point our feet were black from walking on the carpet. The Front Office staff member was rude and very unhelpful. The room was booked for 4, and we were provided with 2 towels. When we were asked for more, it was like we were asking for his firstborn. He tried to charge us twice for the rooms that were already paid via booking.com and then proceeded to tell me I was lying about paying even after showing the confirmation email and my bank statement.

It was nice and clean. The people at the front desk were super helpful. Especially Anthony!! Shout out for giving me a quick run down of things. He was very inviting and I'm glad I got to meet him if only for checking in. The beds were just right not too hard not to worn down. Same with the pillows. The sheets looked clean and so did the room. The view to the little court yard thru the sliding glass door was a nice surprise! The flowers were def blooming. Thanks

Bathroom is a little small, i would imagine larger people would have a hard time in there. I felt awkward and cramped even though I'm short. We were only there to sleep tho so we made the best of it for 2 nights.

The front desk associate was SUPER friendly! He put us in a great room that fit our needs since my son was in a wheelchair. Check in was a breeze and the motel was clean. For being an older motel, it was comfortable and roomy.

It needs some updating. I can imagine it was an amazing motel when it was new! The garden in the middle of the motel didn't live up to some of the pics I've seen, and the bridge that goes over the pond was roped off. The bridge also needs a new paint job. The pics show a vibrant red bridge but the bridge is actually faded chipped paint (and closed). Not that it took away from the comfort of the hotel, it just needs to be refreshed since it's a focal point for all the rooms. Also the only ice maker is in the lobby and if you park in the back, you have to walk around outside to get to the front doors to go get ice after 9pm. So just plan ahead ;)

The staff, in particular, the lady who helped me with my taxi problem Monday morning. The early morning gentleman called a taxi, it never arrived, Time was getting crucial. He tried again and was put on hold. His shift ended, and this young lady took over. She tried another cab company, they said it wpuld arrive soon. Soon was going to be in 20 minutes. Time now to get to the airport was critical. The lady called Uber for me on her account, (I compensated her), she kept in contact with them until they arrived. I made my flight with 2 minutes to spare, that's right, 2 minutes. Thank God for her intervention and consideration. She deserves recognition , as does the rest of your staff!!!!
