Great hotel with really nice friendly staff, great size room with huge bathroom. Location was chosen for Universal which was great - there location had lots of restaurants nearby and they also looked after our luggage for us when we had a late flight. Really liked this hotel and would definitely stay again.

I wish they would start up the bar and doing breakfast again - I think it stopped after covid (fair enough) but that would just be awesome - so not really a criticism, more a wish. The streets around the back of the hotel had a few homeless at night but we didn't feel unsafe and it was quick to get to the main streets, again not a criticism of the hotel but just informative for other travellers.

This is an excellent place to stay, especially if you're visiting Universal Studios. Even with traffic, it took us less than 20 minutes to get there and about 6 minutes to return in the evening. The staff is helpful and friendly. The facilities are well-maintained. They even clean your room every day! They have a juice and coffee bar 24/7. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

The parking is limited, but they refund your $10 if you have to park on the street. There's construction across the street, but they tell you that in advance and there's really nothing they can do about it.

Nice place. It's like 2 minutes from Amp Rehearsal where I had band rehearsal for two days in a row so decided to stay nearby. Totally nice hotel to stay at. Nicely furnished. Comfortable bed. Seemed clean. Flat screen TV, mini-fridge, clock radio with phone charger. Isaac at the front desk was friendly and helpful and helped us pick a room in the back corner of the hotel for extra quietness. They had a coffee maker in the lobby that makes cappuccinos and lattes and stuff like that and also a dispenser for orange, cranberry and apple juice. They had tea and regular coffee and creamers as well. The gym looked decent although I didn't use it. Plenty of food options as well as places to get drinks, better coffee and also a movie theater all walking distance. There's an outdoor area in the center of the hotel with music playing for hanging out I guess.

I wasn't crazy about the music playing in the common areas but it wasn't loud enough to hear from inside the room so no big deal.

Coffee machine! Parking garage and the property was kept clean. Staff was very cool and friendly. Rooms were cozy. The hotel is decorated so nice. We had a good time.

The only thing was they don't clean the rooms very well. They didn't vacuum our floors daily or wipe down the desk (drips from drinks) and the other room never got cleaned at all. (my kids didn't tell me until we checked out). Also one weird thing. They need better faucets. They don't fit the sinks in the rooms. Can't get your hand under the water. Also, a guide for the TV would have been so helpful.

Overall modern room. Great shower, large and comfortable bed. Everything was clean. Hotel is close to Universal Studios Hollywood by driving or metro. Helps that you can also buy tickets from the hotel. Good garage to park in for $10 per night just note that it is an open garage in front of the hotel.

Very expensive for a 'hotel' that is a bit like a motel due to the rooms being exposed to the outside (the middle bit where you can hang out). Also it being close to the road it means it is very noisy. The location is a bit sketchy as well.

I had initially booked a two-beds room because I was travelling with my sister, who couldn't come with me at the end, so I had all this room for myself. I was going to a play at El Portal theatre, the hotel is at a walking distance from there. I even made a couple trips there to take photos. I loved the location and the attention from the staff; I arrived a couple hours earlier than expected and asked if I could check in earlier and they accepted. Looks like the staff also knows how to communicate in spanish so that's also a plus. The beds were very comfortable and warm, everything was clean. There's also the option to purchase drinks and snacks at the lobby. The morning I was checking out I left too late for breakfast so I wasn't able to try that. There's WiFi available but I remember I had to use my mobile data a couple times to have internet access, but overall it was good!

Nothing to do with the hotel, I went for a walk, trying to find a pharmacy, after I had checked in, and I had to request an Uber back to the hotel because I had been followed by other people in two occasions during that walk. I was later told that this area is dangerous (although not as much as Downtown LA), but definitely shouldn't be out later in the night. I became worried because the play was ending at around 10 PM. Luckily nothing happened.

It’s impeccably clean with an outstanding manager and staff. They go above and beyond to make you comfortable. Unlike other hotels they will clean your room every day if you desire. even the cleaning staff is friendly.

My only complaint would be that they no longer provide their continental breakfast which would make it outstanding but everything is so wondering and we were told they intend to bring it back. it was taken away during covid but it really made a difference during a long stay.

The rooms were clean and modern. The bathroom was nice and large . Staff were friendly. Parking was convenient and felt secure. It was close to the freeway which was also convenient for exploring .

They had an eating area that was closed which we knew would be the case but it seemed unfortunate as it looked like a nice space. It would have been convenient to have breakfast at the hotel. We were told at check in that if we ordered food in from certain restaurants there would be no delivery fee as they have an arrangement with the hotel. So when we ordered pizza we were advised that there is no such arrangement.

The hotel is immaculate and the staff is great. the manager is wonderful and his staff reflects his friendliness and professionalism. We are going to stay here everytime we visit our kids in this area.

The only thing we missed was a microwave in the room but there was one downstairs in the kitchen where there is also a coffee machine. We are big coffee drinkers but we reheat a lot so we do prefer a room microwave but it’s worth giving up for everything else in this hotel.

I returned to this hotel a year and a half after the first time I stayed in here. It was as clean and comfortable as I remembered it. It has a lot of amenities close, such as El Portal theatre, the Horror Vibes Coffee shop, an arcade bar, other theaters within walking distance, and so much more! The staff at the desk was incredibly nice, and let us know that breakfast was unfortunately not available, but that we could use the cafeteria any time we wanted. They have what seemed to be juices and water, and we were able to try the coffee and chocolate as well.

The wifi signal is not as strong, but we were almost always out, so we didn't really use it as much. The downside is that we couldn't watch or download any movies when we got there at night, so we watched TV instead.
