This is a funky old property with so much character! The beds were comfortable and clean, the kitchenette had everything I needed, it was quiet( even with the windows open) The staff were all friendly. They have an old mini golf course and a bad mitten net. This place would be so fun for kids! We didn’t try the pool but saw them cleaning it in the morning. You can take a short walk to the river for a dip. Don’t let the kitsch turn you off, stay at this place ( but not if you hate cats, there are several on property) I would stay here again.

The shower door was broken and very difficult to slide

It had a traditional key to the room. The room had beams and cute comforters that gave it a rustic cabin feel. The room was spacious. We checked in later than intended, and the host recommended a better room without the kitchen. She saved us money. Also, they have resident cats. Who cannot love that?! The host was very helpful. She gave us all the information for the Avenue of Giants and how to see the creek and river by the resort. The towels were mint, soft and plush. They offered coffee in room and amenities for the shower. It was lovely!

A lot of people may think it is outdated without modern things like electronic keys or a hair dryer. However, there is nothing to complain about.

If you're wanted the Hilton this is not it. However, the setting of this little motel with cabins in amazing and peaceful. The cabins and RV park are situated on a river and our boys enjoyed finding rocks and getting wet. We were surrounded by huge red woods and it was just a lovely setting. There was a pool and mini golf course. Our only regret was we didn't get to stay longer.

I guess this property feels a little more like camping than a hotel - but we're avid campers and it felt perfect to us.

The best welcome desk woman. So sweet and welcoming. The grounds are old school camping/cabin/motel, completely enveloped in tall trees so felt like you were right in the middle of the woods instead of a concrete slab most of these kinds of places are like. Lovely nostalgic vibe to it. The river right next to it is great to swim in.

Even though I loved the mountain rustic vibe of everything, some things you can’t let slide, like the bathroom door wouldn’t close so the other guests in your room can see you poop lol. Wasn’t a big deal though. Everything else made up for it. But yeah, they should fix that bathroom door.

This hotel is very quaint and old fashioned. The location was perfect for our time visiting the redwoods. There is a creek in the back of the property and pools in the front. Our room had a patio out back with a table and chairs. The office has a store with food and camping needs. There are basketballs and golf clubs available to use in the property. The people working in the office were so helpful and friendly! There’s a fun coffee shop nearby.

They were awesome! My friend was able to leave her car parked there while we enjoyed a local festival (reason for our stay). We bought the last bundle of wood and asked for a few more coffee pods, we were pleasantly surprised to find the wood at our fire pit before we even got back to the room and they happily brought over a bag full of pods and extra creamer and sugar to go with it! So unexpected and very much appreciated! It's an old place but they've done a good job keeping up with maintenance. Nice surroundings with plenty of things to do. Mini golf, horseshoes, fire pits right off the lovely covered patio, great pool and huge jacuzzi. Of course the river is right there too. Staff is so helpful and accommodating. Will definitely be back!

It's pretty old so of course there's going to be issues. The pocket door to the toilet was very hard to move, shower head or water pressure was not good.

I liked everything! First of all, this motel is located in the middle of the redwoods, location is fantastic! And they have swimming pool & spa, arcade room and it's a huge property. The rooms are actually like cabins, a "little house" in the woods. The staff is very friendly and kind. And it's close to the Avenue of the Giants. We will definitely come back, loved it!

No frills, but comfortable and welcoming. Lisa was very accommodating and made you feel at home. Clean and has all the basics. Nice sized sauna, easy access to the River, basketball hoop and much much more. If you like super fancy, find different accommodations. Close, easy parking, small onsite store with goodies and basics.

Sauna was mildly warm but not hot. Room heater made loud noises.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was uncommonly charming for a motel-style accommodation. Great forest/river proximity, charming and spacious. We ended up making sandwiches in the room and eating outside on the picnic table under the tree - felt quite relaxed. Several adorable cats on property. I really liked the atmosphere. Mellow and charming.

I had no complaints - beds are almost never really comfortable to me in hotels, so nothing negative to say here.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for where we wanted to be along the river and highway. Room was good size and very clean. It was dated but that added to the charm.

The parking area was hard to get out of. We had to back all the way out to the road because there was no room to turn around.
