The location was beautiful, the rooms very spacious and comfortable.

After paying "fully" in advance I was told at check in that there would be an additional $50.00 per day plus tax resort fee to use the beach amenities, this was not mentioned at booking and was not optional even though I did not use any of the amenities. Also we received a text asking if we needed housekeeping services only to find out that if we wanted them it would cost an additional $20.00 per day for that as well. All of this was very disappointing, we felt like we were deceived at the booking.

Our stay at Mourelatos Lakeshore Resort was a truly memorable experience for our family. Nestled on the shores of Lake Tahoe, the resort offers breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere that made it the perfect getaway. The room was cozy and well-equipped, with direct access to the beach, allowing us to enjoy the stunning lake scenery right from our doorstep. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was enjoyable. Mourelatos Lakeshore Resort is a hidden gem, and we look forward to coming back for another relaxing and family-friendly escape!

The room was surprisingly spacious and comfortable, the views of the lake and mountains are stunning. The staff was super helpful and nice. I highly recommend Mourelatos hotel.

I am 100% blown away(sorry I am old so use old slang). Too often when you book online the hotel is nice but is not as good as pictured in the description. They are just good, if that makes sense. This place does not fall into that camp at all. In fact I honestly think the Ad here on Bookings com in no way does this place justice. The room is way prettier than the pictures. The view out my big front window and door is great. The bed is great. It is clean and nice. The whole place is nicer than anything they have posted online. Then the staff, i haven't had a more welcoming front desk in my 68 years living on this earth. One of the best but small things they do is they supply a text number if you have questions about most things, they hotel and if you ask for things to do. They went above and beyond for what we needed We are checking out in the morning but I wanted to post this before we headed home and life got in the way.

What didn't I like?... The fact that this place is about Nine hours away from home, by car

Superb location, right on the beach in Tahoe Vista, mere minutes' drive to Tahoe City & 15 minutes (assuming Hwy 267 is open) to Northstar. Gorgeous views from the beach. View from our room was much more limited; would be far better if you're in the lakefront rooms. Room was quite spacious and had all the essentials, including enough hangers. Furnishing made it seem high-end. Needs a living room table to make the sofa useful - we dragged the outside table in to supplement the dining set (too small for 3 adults). Not quite enough storage space for ski gear, coolers & food supplies we brought by car. Enough dresser space, though only one of us fully unpacked her suitcase. The outdoor jacuzzi was used by at least one party every night, and they said they enjoyed it. We couldn't find enough motivation to walk across the parking lot in bathing suits in the dead of winter. But it was nice to have around. Shower water was hot and pressure strong. Wi-Fi worked well. Nearby ski rental places all well stocked & knowledgeable. All in all, it is a very satisfying location for N Tahoe skiing.

Would have preferred more food storage space and a low living room table in front of the sofa. The room was big enough for the extra furniture.

The location of the hotel is excellent and right on the lake. They upgraded us from a lake view king room with kitchen to the lakefront king suite with a big balcony. The view was incredible and the room was very spacious. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay there again if we go back to Lake Tahoe.

This must be one of the nicest locations on the entire lakeshore of Lake Tahoe. The resort has a large private beach at the north head of the lake and has magnificent views down the entire length of the lake. Having driven the whole lakeshore we decided this was by far the most beautiful location. The sunrise and sunsets were spectacular! The self catering aspect was hugely helpful as we didn't note all that many nice restaurants on the lake as an alternative. What a wonderful spot, and we were very loathe to leave!

Just beware that there is a resort fee of c $40 per day to cover the use of their hot tub, kayaks and paddle boards etc. This wasn't made clear on the Booking.com website at all. They kindly waived the fee for us, as we felt it hadn't been adequately publicised. Also beware, the water is very cold and we spotted other swimmers taking the precaution of wearing wetsuits. Apparently the huge depth of the lake triggers the cold water to cycle upwards, displacing the warm surface water. I went in regardless, and can vouch that it was lovely once you were in! What a breathtakingly beautiful swim.

Very family friendly, very clean, lots of activities on property. Love the text feature they offer. You need anything, just text and they respond so fast!

Check the hours of the extra activities before you plan your day. It was very frustrating to plan our day to end with kayaking and water sports at the resort to get there and everything was closed. And no time to find anything else to do off property. There is no air conditioning but they do have box fans and we were just fine.

Location is great, rooms all face the lake so you never miss a sunrise. Tables and chairs outside every room to enjoy a glass of wine. Parking is easy, front desk staff is amazing. Coffee in the lobby in the morning, small fridge and wet bar in the rooms. Beds are decent. Honestly its a great little resort and would consider staying here for a few days in the summer. Enjoy a glass of wine or champagne on the beach front or a cup of coffee in the morning and you'll be set for your day!

I'm not sure if they have breakfast in the morning, but something like that would be nice even if it was pastries or bagels. The fans in the bathroom are really really loud and you can hear other rooms water running but it wouldn't stop me from staying there again.

Great location and super friendly staff. We arrived late (stuck on 80 during the last storm) and left early though so weren't able to take advantage of the property as much as we would have liked. Room was on the first floor so easy to unload gear to the room from the car, and we were able to park right outside. Nice having a full kitchen.

The armchair was pretty dirty - it had lots of stains.
