They had a coffee machine that you could make coffee, coffee blended with hot cocoa or just hot cocoa. I had hot cocoa and enjoyed it. Breakfast included eggs, bacon, Pancake maker, cereal, Orange juice, a variety of muffins, bagels, waffles Decorations were outdoor themed with pine cones for decorations and outdoor pictures. Beds were comfortable, Wifi signal strength was excellent, included microwave, refrigerator. Short walk to Donner Lake they have a nature trail. Next door to Donner Lodge is Mountain Brew coffee shop- excellent quality sandwiches and salads.

I wanted to paddle board on the Lake but they were closed for the season( I stayed 9/23&9/24). Need to check with Donner State Park and Donner Marina to see if they are open.

breakfast: it has scambled eggs, bacon , pancakes , several types of cereal , yogurt, coffee machine. orange juice , breads and mini cakes. all tasty. no vegetables or salads. it was very nice. main room: room is clean. it seems the carpet was replaced by a completely new carpet, new windows too. 3 types of shaders so it blocks 99% of sunlight . beds were super comfy . old LCD TV with various channels. alarm clock with USB-C and USB-A charging ports. a microwave, hair dryer. bathroom: has built in shampoo , body lotion and conditioner, just bring toothpaste. 2 queen beds room for a 171$ (incl tax) on January it is a nice deal. it is a 15 minutes drive distance from major ski resorts in the area and it has free parking and decent internet (200Mbps upload and download). Safeway supermarket it 5 minutes drive.

I found only 2 issues: 1. the heating is based on Amana air condition. it is not an inverter A/C so it will either work at full speed or shut off (in auto mode). when it kicks in at night: you will hear it. 2. there were 3 tiles cracked in the bathroom floor. one crack in the sink cabinet but nothing that will ruin your stay there.

We enjoyed our stay at the Truckee Donner Lodge! The location was perfect, between Donner Lake and the town of Truckee! Closer to the lake though, which was perfect, since we were there to kayak fish the lake :-) The continental breakfast was delicious. Good warm food as well as healthy fruit and oatmeal. The location was quiet as well, but of you had your wi dow open, you could faintly here the traffic from Hwy 80. There was a bird nest on a small tree at the entrance of the hotel. It was a good sign this was a great place to stay :-)

There was no lotion in the bathroom, which most hotels usually have.

Liked the location, close to Donner, Reno, and North Tahoe And easy to get to. It was quiet and non congested. There's a coffee machine in the lobby and books and boardgames to use. The lobby was cozy and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I called ahead and asked if they had an iron and they told me no so I brought mine but it turned out they did. They had that and a

Instead of the travel sizes of hygiene stuff, they have the refillable sealed containers in the which I never usually trust but I have no overall issue with it. I bring my own stuff anyways. No real complaints I was really happy with this place.

This hotel was exactly what we needed after Burning Man! The location was perfect—easy to find right off the highway. Our room was cozy, spotless, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. We really appreciated the laundry service, which was a lifesaver for starting to wash off all the desert dust. Breakfast was simple but plentiful and satisfying, and the outdoor pool felt incredible after a week in the desert. We also loved that late check-out was available for just $20 per hour, per room—such a great option!

Breakfast was really good, but the pancake machine was down and that’s all my son would eat but we went to McDonald’s for him. I loved the food and variety and the woman overseeing was so kind and helpful

Broken pancake machine and hours would be nice til 10:30…. Sleeping in is huge on vacation Bed was kind of uncomfortable and we needed more blankets and pillows the two provided for a king bed were well used and small, we got more the next day. The biggest complaint was the hallways and breakfast nook were extremely hot, like burning hot make you sweat hot. And other guests noted this too

I was very surprised and very happy to find Truckee Donner Lodge is better then advertised ! I ski a lot and will stay here from now on. My room was very nice, very clean and big - lots of extra space for two to enjoy - definitely meets the standards I like! The lobby and fire place stone work was very nice - as a building contractor believe me I noticed all the nice details top to bottom! It was so easy to park, the staff really friendly, elevator straight to my room, the tv had more channels then I could use - watched the warriors game in comfort. everything was really good! next time I'll bring ski friends and try the hot tub. I missed the breakfast, found a nice coffee cafe/bakery just down the street, Location works well for me having a car - quick drive to Palisades or Northstar.

Wonderfully comfortable bed and pillows, the convenience of microwave, frig, and coffee maker in the room, windows that open, the terrific location for visiting the Donner memorial site and old highway 40, the excellent 24 hour coffee dispenser and a water bottle filler in the lobby, efficient housekeeping service and overall clean property, easy and convenient parking, very friendly and helpful staff.

I appreciated the easy chair in the room but it could use a small side table.

I have a gluten intolerance and had limited breakfast options. The first morning I had to rely on the coffee in my room because there was no coffee at breakfast. This was resolved by my second day. The biggest issue was the pool. There was an issue that kept the pool closed through our stay. Thankfully the hot tub was available. However, it was barely above bath water temperature!

Room service met our needs. Breakfast was adequate. We stayed in Truckee mainly to visit my sister, so were away from the hotel during the day visiting and seeing the sights.

Would have liked some kind of sweet roll or doughnut at breakfast. Not enough juice selection - only oj was offered. Eggs sometimes tasted funny, The roll-in bed I ordered for the friend who travelled with me was not very comfortable.
