The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Yosemite National Park, making it the perfect base for exploring the stunning natural beauty. Waking up to breathtaking views of Yosemite Falls was an unforgettable experience. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed. We truly appreciated the lodge’s rustic charm. We would highly recommend Yosemite Valley Lodge to anyone looking for an authentic and comfortable Yosemite experience!
The only thing that was missing was potentially some cutlery in the room to enjoy dinner. We did however found out on the last day that some was available not far from our place, in the main 'food hall', so if you need anything go and check it out.

The lodge that we stayed in was right across from the restaurants and we could see the yosemite falls from the parking lot and the balcony outside the rooms. The location was excellent. Food was excellent and we would suggest trying the dining room.
It was very dark in the room with ALL of the lights on. Also quite dangerous trying to navigate around with a lack of overall lighting (while in Understand for the sake of wildlife in the park). Especially when there is ice and snow on the walkways and in the parking lots.

What's not to like about being right in the middle of Yosemite national Park? Older facility but spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable. Yes
Proximity of course is number one. It was a comfortable room, and although it is dated, it was clean and had everything we needed. It's our responsibility to take care of our national parks. We should be out there making sure that our government make sure that facilities are updated, upgraded, and that there are enough for everyone to enjoy our amazingYosemite national Park.

Property is generally very well kept, outdated a bit but well kept. Beds were comfortable and spacious rooms. Cannot beat the location ever. They bathroom lights taken a little getting used to, they aren’t where you would expect them to be.
Cleaning services. Unfortunately we kept finding long strands of hairs( blonde, dark, brunette , grey) in fresh clean linens and towels. It was a bit gross. Room walls are paper thin. We could hear every single conversation in both out adjoining rooms.

Stunning views🤗 Staying right in the middle of the valley, with just lovely trails just round the house, both very easy Lower Yosemite Falls, beautiful, and Upper Yosemite Falls streanious and stunning! Mirror lake was a lovely and easy walk. Valley Lodge had many different foodings, good for different preferenses: from easy fast food, to fine dining. I'll be back for sure☺️❤️🐻🐾😍
Could have been good to get a notification anout how to operate the heating in the room. Otherwise nothing.

Location, location, location!! The trail to Lower Yosemite Falls is an easy walk from here. It was worth paying a little more to stay in the park instead of driving 30-45 minutes each way twice a day - especially with skyrocketing gas prices. $$$ After reading others' reviews and seeing the photos, we didn't expect a 5-star hotel. The rooms are rustic and a bit dated but we didn't come to Yosemite to stay in our rooms. We only needed a clean, comfortable, safe place to sleep and shower and that's what we found. They were still extremely short-staffed because of COVID (we were told it was mainly due to restrictions of only one person per dorm room) We expected long lines at the restaurants so we weren't upset about waiting for a while. All the staff that we interacted with were very friendly and helpful, even though some were obviously trying to do the job of 2-3 people. There were two charging stations in front of our building for electric cars.
No WiFi in the room - we were forewarned about that, no microwave, and no light switch by the door. The closest one was at a weird place, almost on top of the bathroom vanity top. 5 PM check-in is way too late. If you need it to be completely dark while you sleep, you might want to bring an eye mask. One of our rooms only had a curtain over the large window, not over the door outside. It had slats so no one could see in but they didn't keep out the light.

The heating, the bathroom and the beds were nice. The fact that we were given the option to be in ground floor was nice too since there are no elevators. The summary sheet with info and map given at check in were really good.
Breakfast was a bit expensive. The information about the restaurants was little. Perhaps staff can explain better the options as we arrived at night and did not have much time to check for options. We went to the bar which had a great atmosphere but very little options for children. Service was slow as it was very full. As we needed to empty the car totally a luggage trolley could have been very useful.

We had a nice corner room with a nice view to the mountains, even a slight view to Yosemite Falls. The bed was very comfortable, we slept great. The heating was good. We loved the Mountain Lodge Bar and sitting around the log fire in the middle of the bar. We even had a casual dinner there one evening. We also enjoyed dining at the restaurant one evening. It was pretty pricey, but very good and the atmosphere cozy and nice.
The walls are pretty thin, we could hear our neighbor sneeze in the room next door. Bring earplugs if you’re sensitive to noise.

Everything was just great. The first night we had a rather large family next-door and just really needed some peace and quiet so the wonderful gentleman at the front desk, Philip, was very accommodating and worked out moving our room to a place that was tremendously peaceful. We had a lovely visit, recommend it to everyone, and of course we’ll come back.
