We were guests at the home of owners who provided us and other guests a breakfast that was delicious and includes eggs, sausage or other meat, and a homemade bread like banana bread. We stayed five nights while visiting a daughter in grad school at Mines and really appreciated proximity to downtown and the campus. The room was immaculate, beautifully decorated and thoughtfully set up to be functional with added hooks and shelves. Previously, we have stayed at the Marriott Denver West and The Golden Hotel. This is an entirely different experience — much more comfortable and relaxed. On a side note, my husband was dead set against staying in a B&B and I asked him to try a B&B once. He really enjoyed the visit and would prefer staying here to the other places we have stayed in Golden.

Homely stay with exceptional breakfast made by Judy the landowner. Rooms impeccably clean and comfortable. Felt like home. This is an old but elegant aristocrat-like building, very well refurbished by the current owner who run the establishment.

Lack of lift made us to carry our heavy luggage upstairs. Perhaps a cute little lift could be erected besides the staircase. A big lighted billboard on the highway and some signage indicating the entrance would be a great help to the travellers arriving late in the evening.

We stayed at The Silk Pin Cushion, as we were in the area to go to a concert at Red Rocks. It was the perfect location, as Red Rocks was less than 15 minutes from the B&B and we could walk to downtown Golden during the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Judy and Dennis couldn't have been friendlier and the homemade breakfasts were delicious, with a nice variety of fruit, baked goods and an egg dish with a side of meat. Our room was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area!

Judy and Dennis were so personable. They greeted us at the front door upon arrival and we had a brief, very comfortable conversation. They shared their ideas of where we could go to dinner and they told us about the property. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and we had everything we needed. In the morning breakfast was delightful! We shared stories with Judy, Dennis and another wonderful couple, ate so well and we sat around the table enjoying each other’s company for well over an hour.

My husband and I were attending our daughter's wedding in Golden. This B&B was close to downtown and our venue. The room was very comfortable and nice. We stayed in the Lavender room, a room with a slight view of the mountains. Judy and Dennis couldn't be any nicer! The full, homemade breakfast was wonderful. We enjoyed sitting at the table and having delightful conversations. There is a nice Victorian living room where we got to meet our new grandson for the first time. It was definitely home away from home. 💖 PS There is a picture of Judy holding a cooking pan that I want to buy. No sticking, no teflon!

We didn't want to leave!

Judy and Dennis were very welcoming, their home was comfortable, shared stories about the pictures, quilts (they made) stories about their home and themselves. The breakfast were fantastic. Judy was very accommodating on food allergies. The gluten-free food was wonderful. They sat and ate with the group. Very very nice people. Please put them on your place to stay in Golden. Excellent location.

Can’t think of anything!

Everything about our two-night stay - from the clean and comfortable room, to the convenient parking, to Judy’s delectable breakfasts - left no doubt as to why you have received such raving reviews from prior guests. We felt welcome in your home and conversed at your table like we’d known you for years! You both certainly have a way of making your visitors feel welcome. Thank you especially for the accommodations you made for my wife’s gluten allergy also; we hope to see you again on a future visit!

I have nothing negative to say - we enjoyed it here!

The proprietors, Dennis and Judy, were awesome!! Our room was wonderful, with the bed being extremely comfortable and the bathroom very clean. The breakfast was abundant and delicious, made by Judy. The aroma of the cooking breakfast rose up the stairs to our room, which made the stay extra special. The breakfast was enjoyable as we met two other guest couples and had a great time talking and learning of each other's lives, as much a could have been learned in the short time while consuming breakfast.

The hospitality was great and the hosts was the kindest people. They even sat down and eat breakfast with us. We felt like home. If your into cosiness, this is it! The location is good, just a few minutes walk to the city center.

Unfortunately, our schedule did not allow for us to fully enjoy the breakfast experience. I was able to join the group for a short time and enjoyed the food and the conversation. I would definitely stay there again and plan more time to enjoy the breakfast.
