The suite had ample room for my handicapped husband. The bed and pillows were the best we've ever slept on. Close to everything we needed on our stay and was very quiet and peaceful.

The outside patio furniture was lacking compared to other patios I saw. But the privacy of the patio was wonderful. The rooms seemed to keep moisture in the air. Needed more than 1 day of towels, but we did get some from the very nice cleaning lady. It has some old rusted key features that should be replaced. However, it shows an attempt to make the room updated.

The owner and staff were extremely helpful when I checked in and they told me my reservation had been canceled BY BOOKING.COM! We were all very confused. After booking.com never answered the owners phone call to try to clear this up... he found me a room (after claiming to be 100% full or booked for that evening) I appreciated the owner and staffs attention to an error made by a third party (Booking.com). We were tired from traveling all day and thank the owner if the motel for accommodating us.

The heater in the sitting area did not work BUT WE ARE NOT COMPLAINING because we were so happy to have a room at all for 2 night!

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a gazebo on the lake that was a lovely place to enjoy your morning coffee. The pool is small and doesnt have a lifeguard so mind your children. We visit family in Mt. Dora and stay here each time.

They provide a continental breakfast which is pretty good. Coffee cups are small, but I just took 2!

Value and comfort of the rooms

Locked lobby, unfriendly evening check in. No protein at the breakfast (even some peanut butter or boiled eggs would have been good.) Don't serve the El Monterey burritos! They are disgusting. Shower (room 102) had major peeling of ceiling in the bathroom!

Dirty, dirty, need to keep up with the cleaning better. The bedspread has some kind of red stain on it. Unsanitary. And even though they blew the hallways they are filthy. You can't go out of the room without getting your feet black. Just a little more attention to detail would be phenomenal. I did enjoy my stay though.

The location is great, plenty to eat and do near Mount Dora and the property itself is very well groomed , staff was extremely helpful and friendly!

It is fairly small BUT you get what you paid for. Also the TVs are old news! Everyone loves a good streaming service so that definitely wouldn’t added more triumph to stay , watching my favorite Netflix show .

The location. This was our second stay and both were very pleasant. We asked for lakeside. There is a gazebo on the lake that is a great spot. The beds and pillows are quite comfortable.

The floors aren’t as clean as I’d like. The tile in the bathroom was a little sticky. The carpet should be shampooed more often. This isn’t a strong enough reason not to stay.

While the room was clean it needed work. The bathtub had rust in it. The molding seal around the shower was not sealed properly and had mold on it. The bathroom door inside the bathroom was damaged and a piece was off door and molding. The door that led outside had about a half inch gap. I had to put a towel in the opening so nothing would crawl in the room during the night. We were on the ground floor so it was a concern.

Good location for us. We had a chance to visit the downtown of Mount Dora, though you have to drive to the downtown. It is walkable to a few shops and restaurants. The hotel room had a good view of the water. The room itself was okay, typical older hotel, but clean.Thick towels, always a good sign. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Fresh fruit at breakfast!

Rooms were clean, staff were polite and breakfast was good. Good restaurants next door and in close proximity.

Could hear other guests talking loudly throughout the night and banging doors. Not the fault of the hotel, but made our stay not as pleasant.
