I grew up in the area and used to work at Mission Inn in my very early 20s. I never imagined that I would be able to stay at such a beautiful place. I loved working there then and I love visiting it now. The grounds are beautiful as always the room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was when I checked in there were three people at the front desk and not one of them smiled and said hello. They all seemed stressed out and acted like I wasn’t even standing there. It wasn’t until I told them I used to work there that they sort of warmed up to me a friendly smile, a welcoming attitude, and a nice disposition when you walk into a place especially from the reception staffmakes a huge difference in how you feel about the place. Everywhere else all the staff were great, although some of the younger waiters were quite timid, which I understand. also the food selection could’ve been better. I don’t eat sandwiches or bread so a place that only offers you sandwiches or chicken wings or basic stuff doesn’t appeal to me like the Margarita lounge and the clubhouse. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant I used to work in La Hacienda was excellent glasses of wine at $17. Each is way out of line especially for the area so needless to say, I ate out at other places and did the same with cocktails and wine. I think they need to go to grip on the pricing and the menus. But even after all of this, I had a wonderful wonderful day. I was so happy to be there I had a beautiful walk around a few holes of the golf course around 6 PM and got to see all the beautiful wildlife I had been used to seeing when I worked there. I was a server and I also was the golf cart girl I have such fond memories of the place I was not disappointed every time I go back home to Mount Dora in the future I will be staying again at Mission Inn.

I paid for the buffet breakfast. After travelling to many resorts and hotels with similar breakfast buffets I would not rate the Mission resort breakfast buffet as excellent but I would rate it as good. What I liked most about Mission Resort was the gorgeous landscaping. It was exceptionally beautiful!!! I loved the view from my room! I also enjoyed the architecture, the cleanliness the comfortable beds, and the peaceful atmosphere. I want to thank Parry Young for particularly thoughtful service.

As I mentioned above the breakfast buffet could have been better. For instance, you could serve a variety of fresh breads.

The grounds were beautiful and clean! Most of the front desk staff was helpful when needed. I liked the little touches like free parking, a magnified mirror, Q-tips, water bottles, tea, and coffee. Those added little perks felt welcoming like someone was anticipating my needs.

One staff member at the front desk acted as though my request to move my room was unreasonable, but the resort was not full. I simply made a mistake when booking. The other front desk clerk made me more at ease with the decision to move. I was grateful for her friendliness after a long travel day in addition to it being the right choice for the move. I plan on staying here again.

The dining was lovely. the staff were outstanding. Donna was the waitress who helped me last night. She was happy to suggest items off the menu, and each one was delicious. I also had the buffet this morning, and it was another homerun with service and food quality. The grounds were stunning. Rooms were very comfortable. It was my first visit. However, it will not be my last. I'm already looking forward to a return trip.

It was the little things that need a little attention. Do you have a breakfast buffet with your wedding parties in the building and only one line with two chiefs to make eggs have any type? Scrambled eggs would’ve been a great choice to have help with the flow. I did the top rated prime rib and seafood buffet. Reservations, for at seven, the food was cold and dried out. The oysters I was fearful to eat, because they were warm. The pool towels were in limited supply. They were small and threadbare.

I love everything about it will definitely visit again just going to book it thru another company and not booking ever again

I will never book with @bookingcom they let resort over charge me more than what I book it for I been waiting almost a hold month to get some of that money back they keep giving me the run around say send bank statements i sent that then they say its no money sign on it wow cant believe it i will sign up for priceline for now on ....I been with them for years then I book a nasa ticket it was invalid when I got there but the workers was nice to let me in gate stil i had let it slide because I loved booking but now this the second time some crazy thing happened

The people were friendly and helpful from front desk to restaurant servers and concierge. The scenery and the golf course was very picturesque and serene.

The pool area and other parts of hotel needs some work but nevertheless we enjoyed the pool esp the kids. We wished there was food and drinks service working right by the pool!

Great people working at resort. Very peaceful. Location close to the beach tennis tournament we had.gorgeous lush property. Fantastic service and good price

Limited time for dining. Restaurant closed by arrival time and no options for sandwiches or snacks. No breakfast buffet and regular menu is overpriced for what it’s offers. Hot tub didn’t work. Was warm but no bubbles.

Our bedroom had a gorgeous view These could easily be improved: Room had a terrible humidity odor… Deteriorated bath linen. The bath mat had a hole as big as a fist. Maintenance personnel chatting in the hallway early am. in front of the guests rooms.

Beautiful grounds and convenient location. Balcony views were nice.

*Facility is dated. The wing we stayed in had no elevators. *Had to wait for room along with several others *Beds were high...had to "climb" into them *Lots of special events going on that were hard to avoid
