The view and location was out standing.

Renovations were underway and the rooftop had limited use.

Waikiki is expensive so trying to find something that suits your budget but still offers everything you want is a challenge. This property worked out well for us. Short walk to beach, food trucks, bus. The bus is also a short ride to a proper supermarket if you want to cook your own meals. Our balcony had a partial view of ocean but only standing room and sticking head out however the views from rooftop pool were amazing!

There were little cockroaches running around the kitchenette after dark. Saw about 5. Food needs to be kept in sealed containers or in the fridge. While we were there, there was a notice in the lift that the pest controller was treating every unit. So they are aware and doing something about it. It would not put me off staying there again. The apartment was spotless.

Excellent location and very spacious suite. It was very clean. Loved the balcony view! Very close to beach, places to eat, walk, shop, bus stop across the street. Walking distance from everything I needed. Based on research, this was one of the few (mid-tier) Waikiki hotels that even had a microwave. Lots of other kitchen appliances and dishes. That was unexpected. Rooftop pool, hot tub and sauna looked in excellent, clean condition. These were not busy at the time I was there but I didn't have time to make use of them. Overall, a perfect place for solo traveler like me.

The staff seemed confused about my checkout time but it was eventually clarified. At one point the cleaning staff rang the doorbell a few times while the "do not disturb" sign was outside. These two are minor issues that were resolved. Side note: My original stay was for 6 nights but it got reduced to 3 nights due to flight changes. Unfortunately, I chose a 'no-refund / no-cancellation' option when I booked the room to take advantage of a discount. They offered no flexibility or extension on this when I inquired about helping alleviate the extra costs once my stay time was reduced. In the future I will always pick a refund / cancellation option.

Two blocks to Kūhiō Beach; hotel was centrally located; staff were friendly and helpful; kitchen saved us money by eating in occasionally; free beach furnishings helped us enjoy the beach too

No in-house breakfast restaurant; hotel pool was not available for use

The location was wonderful, only a couple of blocks from the beach, the zoo, or meeting places to catch tours buses. For those who want to shop, it a great location, streets of stores. Quick bus ride or walk (30-40 min) to Ala Moana mall. Easy access to restaurants, and my favourite places are the smaller places across the street from the hotel that sell Korean Barbecue, or Poke. There are ABC convenience stores located everywhere. My room was well equipped with cooking equipment. The bed was very comfortable. I was on the 8th floor right by the elevator and I couldn’t hear it, which was amazing. The room was fairly updated and nice. The air conditioner is noisy and a bit to close to the bed for my liking, but you adjust after the first night or two.The overhead fan helps as a nice white noise and helps move the cool air around. Bring earplugs to use until you’re adjusted. The street noise was not bad, you have to remember your in busy tourist area, but things quieted down at reasonable hours on the weekends. There was renovations going on during my stay but it wasn’t bothersome and kept to reasonable hours.I loved the energy of the area. You can spend the day at the beach, (rent a chair & umbrella) or buy a beach chair at ABC,. Take some tours, or stroll along the streets for hours. I didn’t use the rooftop pool, I found the area noisy from machinery fans, but others people, especially those with kids were enjoying it. I love not needing a car to get around. There was easy to book shuttle service, or city bus service between airport and hotel. Great times, great vacation.

Nothing. It was good value for the price. I find it helpful to read other people reviews to know what to expect in advance.

The location is ideal being a short walk to Waikiki and all restaurants however Kuhio is quite dirty these days. The room was spacious having a couch to watch TV from with coffee table for snacks and a dining table and chairs.

The mattress seemed too small for the bed as is slipped on the base meaning the pillow disappeared into the space durning the night or when you leaned against it. The hall carpet on our floor didn't appear to be vacuumed daily and when the laundry was changed which was every 3 days some of the toiletries were't replaced but reception were happy to hand some to us.

Fantastic central location just a couple minutes gentle stroll to Waikīkī beach. Although the property is dated, the room and bathroom were exceptionally neat and clean. The room was very spacious and included a kitchenette, dining table, and lounge. There was ample hanging space and drawers to allow you to completely unpack, store your case in the robe and settle in. The delicious Maguro Spot Poke Bowl is right across the road and the coffee caravan next to the hotel entrance was convenient and served good coffee. We very much enjoyed the cucumber water freely available in the hotel foyer.

Please note that these next comments would not prevent me from staying at the hotel again: The air conditioning unit is at the same level as the bed and right next to the head of one side of the bed. The person on that side of the bed would be very cold having the cold air blowing right on them and end up turning off the aircon during the night. With a full wall of windows, the unit would become hot in the middle of the day and the aircon struggled to keep the room cool.

The location is unbeatable! Close to the beach and loads of shops and restaurants literally outside the door. The pool area has a wonderful view. The staff were super friendly. The room itself was very big.

Please note that these next comments would not prevent me from staying at the hotel again: The TV is in a weird spot - you can't see it from the bed or the couch really - only from the dining room table. The bed and pillows were not comfortable for us both were too soft. Very very loud air conditioner that blew directly on to our faces - the only good thing about the loud aircon was that is drowned out all the street noise.

Most of the staff members were friendly. RJ and Aaron from Housekeeping were helpful when I needed help with the TV and one of the brought luggage racks and extra towels. The best part of my stay was Chrisiann at the front desk. Even before I arrived she was helpful. My flight was delayed so I called the hotel and she happened to answer and assume me my reservation was still confirmed. I had requests from luggage racks to questions about the area. She was so helpful to assist. Her colleagues.- Mary Rose/Grace (or something like that) and another Asian lady who worked at the desk who couldn't be bothered. The room was clean and well appointed. Excellent location. I'd come back again.

The unit I was in 1404 didn't have sheer curtains. Only black out curtains which is a shame because I prefer using natural light during the day vs turning on the lights. It was uncomfortable considering the close proximity of the other buildings with one that had construction. The bathroom is tiny and I'm petite. You need a tutorial to operate the TV. Complicated remote control. I was charged an amenity fee for one pool towel used for the one time I went to the pool which I had already paid in advance when I made the booking. I didn't bother to dispute as I needed to get to the airport. The Asian ladies at the front desk that I mentioned earlier. Not Reiko.

Great Location, Clean, comfortable bed

I was surprised they charged $29.00 extra for internet and laundry facilities. This was a mandatory charge and did not use either services. I thought the charge was for Bishop Museum but just changed that before arrived was told.
