Very nice full apartment with spacious master bedroom, two bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, large living room, and large balcony. The view as spectacular, directly on to the ocean. The pool and hot tub were quite nice. Walking distance to a local market/deli.

The bed was a bit hard. The glass topped dining table and coffee table seemed a bit hazardous for children. The single elevator required a lot of walking to and from the room. Driving was required to get into the center of Kailua and to any swimming beaches (most of the coast here is rocky basalt).

Location and view

When I checked in, my original reservation (oceanfront 2 bedroom ) was not available. It was only when I showed the office staff the reservation that clearly stated “oceanfront”, not ocean view did the staff realize the error. There wasn’t a 2 bedroom oceanfront available at first but somehow one became available after I showed them the original reservation. Then the staff was very accommodating and showed us 2 bedroom option and well as two 1-bedroom options. We ended up opting for two 1-bedroom option. We ended up enjoying our stay and space but check in process was rocky.

The apartment we stayed at was incredible and had an amazing view! It was very clean and had everything we needed, including a washer and a dryer. The fridge was very spacious and both the bed and the sofa were really comfortable. We had a great time in the swimming pool as well, which was also very clean and well taken care of. The fact there is parking included was a huge plus for us! The staff was very friendly and accommodated our request, as well as gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate our honeymoon - the reason we travelled there.

There were no shops nearby, so we always had to drive to go grocery shopping. Not a problem for us, as we rented a car, but for someone without a car it can be a bit inconvenient.

Great place overall and amazing view. Free underground parking.

Didn’t offer room service and luggage storage. the second one was very painful because our flight was late at night and we had to stay all day with our luggage.

9 nights total at Aston Kona. The second unit we moved into was on the 3rd floor for the rest of 8 days. Location is perfect as it's away from pool noise. We only viewed the ocean. Best complex if one wants to pay the price for an ocean front view. Lots of good restaurants within 10 min and ocean views.

First unit room was dated and had NO handle (crazy) on the fridge and lack of maintenance. Ronda moved us to third floor. The only problem with Aston Kona, one really doesn't know what condition of the booked unit is. We would only stay in this well furnished unit again. Nearly all are private so not a big choice.

We always try to stay here. We always get an ocean view room--it cant be beat. The location isnt within walking distance of downtown, but its a quick drive there or to the beach. Parking is great, the pool area is nice (we dont use it) and this unit had a nicer kitchen than most. The patio is good sized and a great place to start and end your day. Unit 409. Check out was super easy.

We had to pay $100 for one day of cleaning and all they did was dump garbage and swap out towels. They probably would have done more but we were in the room when they arrived. The kitchen had cheap dishes and the bed sheets and pillows were terrible. The owner needs to spend a few extra bucks considering the price of the unit for a week. Towels were super thin. No salt or pepper in the room. Other units have had better amenities.

This place was heaven! We literally gasped when we first saw the view from our second floor lanai facing the ocean. It was so beautiful. The condo was spacious and spotless. You could hear the crashing surf as you drifted off to sleep. We spend many happy hours gazing at the sea from the lanai. The pool and hot tub were very nice as well. There is a private sandy beach area in front of the condo with lounge chairs and umbrellas. Truly a place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Hawaii.

The beach in front of the condo, while beautiful, is not swimmable due to the rocks and surf. However, there is a wonderful saltwater pool next to the condo complex (not affiliated with the resort) where you can swim as the waves crash over the edge of the pool.

Great view. Nice grounds. Kitchen very well equipped. Sofa pull out mattress comfy. Carpeted rooms- a bit dirty and gross w stains.

It is most suitable for the use with the friend that a room is large, and the facilities of the kitchen are prepared, and it was comfortable, and there are two places of bathrooms again. What indoor, a washing machine and a dryer were available immediately, and a detergent prepared, and there was was good. The view from the room was the best, too and saw the sea in an interval ground. There was a pool in front and got off an elevator and was available immediately. There is the parking lot indoors, too, and access is the best. An interval ground had a seawater pool and was available comfortably.

A room is too large; is a this joke The window shade of the bedroom was not good and clears it, or a curtain should close. There was a plastic container, but this harms a feeling. As for the disposal of garbage method, as for there not being the usages such as the disposers of the sink, a regret is hard to cut a solution to a Japanese in particular to be written in detail.

- We liked the view, but of course that’s because we paid extra for an oceanfront room. - The condo was spacious, the living room furniture was OK. - It was quiet and we appreciated that the pool area was quiet at 10 pm. - Was nice having 2 bedrooms. - Parking was good.

It was very dated and dark. The public areas were also very dated - hallways, etc. We hated having to use an (long) access code every time we used the elevator, came in from an outside door, went to the pool, etc., vs. just having a key card.
