The view from the 3rd level 2 bdrm apt is outstanding, and it is also gorgeous to look up at the moon and stars from the pool/jacuzzi area at night. It is so peaceful and tranquil if you need to revive yourself. We ate some delicious bananas from their fruit trees and enjoyed star gazing in the hot jacuzzi. The room was spacious and there is a standing fan in each room, which is all we needed to be cool and sleep soundly. It is a cute B&B type space that my 16 yr old daughter and I really enjoyed. Thai is also a perfect place to stay if you need to be close to the airport.

I loved all of it. If you have an issue with stairs due to luggage or physical abilities, then this particular apt may not be for you, but there are ground level units as well. We had a lot of bags but it was well worth the climb for the patio and the view. The shower is a small standing shower but with plenty of hot water and peppermint soap that I liked so much that I took a photo of it to try to buy it.

Loved the secluded location. A fantastic oasis. The bed was super comfy and we loved the view from the balcony. There is so much here that we wish we had more time to take advantage of like the pool and hot tub. A super place for connecting to mother nature and be a part of the aloha spirit.

Such a peaceful and wonderful gem. I had a restorative couple of days and had an amazing Hawaiian massage by Luna. The exotic fruit provided were amazing. The staff is very kind. I just wished I stayed longer.

Very dark once the sun set. Could use some more lighting around the property for safety esp along the steep driveway. Otherwise, a wonderful facility.

We loved absolutely everything about our stay at Banyan Tree. The facilities are incredibly clean and well kept, our room and bathroom was spotless, the pool and surrounding gardens were a lovely hang out spot, and the open air kitchen was well appointed and perfect for enjoying a good meal after a day of adventuring. The location of Banyan Tree is ideal if you are looking to get away from the busy tourist scene in town. It truly is a peaceful quiet sanctuary where you feel like you’re in your own little world, but it’s also only 20ish minutes to great dining, snorkeling beaches and other attractions. The real treasure of Banyan Tree Sanctuary, however, are the people who own and run it. Rae, Maggie, and Ben were an absolute delight, as were the other longer term folks who help out and live on the property. They welcomed us into their space and made us feel like family. They work incredibly hard to take care of their guests and have a wealth of knowledge and advice about things to do on the island.

Everything was perfect.

The Banyan Tree Guesthouse provided a peaceful, quiet, tranquil 3 day rest to the end of our stay in Hawaii. The grounds were lush, the view was spectacular, the fresh fruit was so delicious and an added bonus! We enjoyed the pool and hot tub which we had to ourselves, despite other guests staying there. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. The Yoga Yurt held a powerful, peaceful space for me to begin my day in meditation. This is not a "hotel stay" it is a guest house, others are coming and going but respectful of each others space. If you are looking for a Hawaii experience off grid, this is your place!

Although there wasn’t a breakfast included, we were happily surprised with the fresh fruits and macadamia nuts that were available for free (all grown on property or next door). The hosts were all so kind and helpful, they made sure we had everything we needed and gave us a nice tour of the grounds. The location is only a short drive away (around 15 min) from Kona so it was convenient. Also, because of the location, it is very silent and dark at night which makes for a great night sleep compared to other locations during our Hawaii trip

One thing to note is that this is a vegan sanctuary (which we hadn’t seen or didn’t remember reading about). We’re not vegan usually so we did need to adjust what we bought at the grocery to bring into their kitchen. Also, there isn’t AC although it wasn’t an issue for us as the temperatures were cool during our January stay, but you do need to keep the patio door open to ventilate the room and avoid a little smell otherwise.

Everything! It was wonderful. I felt like I was living in a movie. I felt one with nature. I loved the pool and the jacuzzi. The two owners were great too. They were very helpful since we had booked. One of them played the guitar and sang for us, it was fun. I really enjoyed my stay. I felt relaxed and reenergised!
