The location was excellent. It is a short walk to lots of restaurants and shopping. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The center tower was by far the best. The room were spacious and well maintained. The front part of the central building is very attractive.

The Bay Tower was not very nice. The building is worn and run-down. It looks like there hasn't been much maintenance. It doesn't look like the beautiful photos in the marketing photos. I asked to be moved to the other tower where our room turned out to be nice.

This property is fantastic for its location, it’s Hawaii feel, sunsets, convenience, beautiful grounds, pool, bar etc Rooms have STUNNING views and it is such an amazing price!

Plastic cups and disposable coffee cups daily, you are literally by the ocean trying to protect endangered turtles and monk seals yet plastic! It’s such an outdated practice, get glasses and coffee mugs in the room or buy people reusable bottles like other places, really lacked in this department. Beds were very uncomfortable and bathrooms very outdated despite it being recently renovated.

We were pleasantly surprised and grateful for a free upgrade to a spacious oceanfront corner room in Lagoon Tower. Beautiful! Enjoyed pool and convenience of nearby Coconut Grove center. Breakfast oceanside at the hotel is recommended.

Smoking is limited to 2 locations in the parking lot. Seems there's plenty of room to have an area with a few chairs. I smoke a pipe, and would like to relax, enjoy the ocean view and smoke, not stand around in a parking lot!

Decent view of the ocean from our room. Amazing view and venue at the restaurant/bar located right on the edge of the water. The coconut shrimp was EXCELLENT! As was the prime rib; the fish and chips were ok - we were given 2 complimentary mai tai tickets upon check in and were impressed with the quality as well as the quantity of the portions - the prices are really reasonable, service excellent - Highly recommend the restaurant. All staff encountered were top notch (friendly and helpful) at this hotel which has lovely grounds (check out the lagoon pool as well as the regular pool) - great location within walking distance of the downtown district, but out enough to be very quiet.

Really have no complaints about this hotel - be aware that parking is across the street (in a secured lot) and is an additional fee which I was expecting as it is indicated in the listed details. The room is just a teeny bit dated, but clean and comfortable with the usual amenities, with the exception of no microwave (there is a coffee maker and mini fridge).

Property right in town. Nice pool, excellent restaurant, beautiful grounds.

The lanai seating was awkward and not very safe (high tops). The couch was uncomfortable.

The front desk check-in staff was lovely, very welcoming. She even had some champagne sent to our room when she learned it was our anniversary. The staff we interacted with were all polite and helpful. The location cannot be beat. Rooms were clean, attractive and spacious, the bed comfortable, the pillows even better. Nice color scheme, furniture a little distressed but to be expected in a humid climate with salt water all around. Loved having the balcony and a mango tree outside our room. I also appreciated the "kitchenette" type area, with the fridge, sink, counter, etc Also really liked the shutters that went across the windows. The pool area is smaller, but feels intimate and we never had a problem getting chairs. The gardens all around were beautiful. My family loved this place overall, and if we come back to Hawaii, we will stay here.

The only thing we thought could be better was the bedside lighting. There were two beds in our room, and reading light fixtures were only on the outside edge of each of them. Not a big deal, but a little inconvenient.

The hotel is located right on the beach with the best view of sunset from the bar and restaurant. Walking distance to other bars and restaurants, shopping etc the location is everything you could wish for. The room was clean and comfortable.

Booking in advance I got an excellent deal for a our room but on checking in was surprised to be located with a balcony that outlooked the laundry and trash dumpsters (and the smell). I guest the price was to good to be true and we got what we paid for. The hotel didn't seem to be booked out so was surprised they didn't upgrade us or find an alternative room. The cost of daily parking at $25 per day was also unexpected.

beautiful all around

Pool AND Lagoon Closed at Sunset. They told us this upon checking in, that pool/lagoon closes every night at sunset... was Not happy about that! that was HUGE downer because the pool/jacuzzi is one of the deciding factors in choosing a hotel, we wish to use it at night as grownups usually do, at practically every hotel out there.. so yes, that was big letdown. honestly i prob would have chosen diff hotel if i knew this in advance.. thats how important the pool is to most people. look, maybe the website had the hours and i did’nt notice it, but regardless, you can’t deny that’s a big departure from most hotel’s pool hours! usually close around 10pm.

The check in was easy and the front desk staff was very friendly. We loved our room and the view!

The service at the restaurant was terrible. The waitress was very short and curt... when I asked for anything it seemed like it was a bother... I am also disappointed in the lost and found department... I left a jacket and sundress in the closet of our room. When I contacted housekeeping they found it. I have not had any response from the lost and found department on how to retrieve my items. I have called 3 times and no return phone call. Very frustrating!
