The apartment is well equipped and beautiful. Seems like it was freshly renovated and no issues one can read in other reviews. Fans are appreciated. Suitable both for people liking to stay on the beach and those trying to reach interesting hiking and snorkeling tour destinations.

Hi fees. With 2-night stay the fees turned up to be about equal to the rent itself. Wouldn't use this for a short stay. Roosters starting 3am, lol

Easy parking, good location, nice sized room, full kitchen, rapid response to poor drainage from tub - serviced within hour of my call and friendly service person who knew facility well. Communal laundry was clean, many machines - pay by credit card, could also purchase detergents etc thru machine. Short walk to Poipu beach area. Great coffee cafe across the street, many shops and restaurants a short drive away. This was a very convenient location for exploring Kauai.

Noisy residents upstairs, heavy footsteps early in morning even though facility asked for "shoes off inside" policy. Sprinklers come on at 430 am, lack of true windows (only screens covered by wooden louvers in all windows except patio sliders) so outdoors noise feels indoors. Cool nights required extra blankets, 1 was available. No pool at this resort, have to pick up beach towels(only allow one set per person per day) in one location, beach club across the street with pool, nice restaurant/bar. Could use a fresh coat of paint.

Location is perfect and the feel of the whole property with lots of space in between buildings was very relaxing. Being able to walk straight out to Kiahuna or Poipu beach was just fantastic. The ability to use the Poipu Beach Athletic club gave us access to a fun pool for kids as well as pickleball courts and many other activities. Poipu is such a hub of activity with the turtles, shopping, golf, ziplining, hiking and many other things it really was the perfect location.

Having a pool on-site would have been a bonus, but Athletic Club great alternative. Being individually owned there's a lot of variation in what is offered in each apartment (like air-conditioning) - but we didn't need it. Wooden floors can allow a lot of noise from above apartments if you are staying underneath a family of elephants as we were.

the deck, the large rooms, nice bath area, main bedroom mattress, plenty of lawn chairs available in the big area by the beach. Closeness to walk to get coffee, food, walk the beach walkway

the couch bed was atrocious to say the least, big bad bar in it. We had to put the mattress on the floor to be able to sleep. The bathroom has no 'privacy ' door

The location is perfect, beach is really excellent, and the room was clean and comfortable. Please keep in mind there is no A/C, but this seems very common to the area. The room cooled off enough at night with lots of windows throughout the property to open and multiple ceiling fans. I was very comfortable. Bed is soft but that is my preference :) The grounds are well kept. It's a serene, tranquil area. We had a room that overlooked the garden and also the ocean - you can't beat that. Staff seemed nice and respectful during our stay. Being able to walk right out to the beach is a real treat.

Our first night was a struggle - someone's fire alarm was going off and then our water heater started beeping at 4am. I couldn't get in touch with the right person to fix it for a couple hours - I would highly recommend better communication about after-hours numbers, emergencies, etc. I had to call multiple numbers multiple times to get to the right person. But when someone did come to fix it, they were very kind and all went smoothly! Aside from this I'd say our stay was perfect.

The best past is the Location near everything and the beach is the best in Poipu, it beats everything else, we had a great Time!

Booking advertising is misleading: be aware, there’re not facilities on site, other than beach towels and chairs : No beach house or bathrooms, no luggage storage, No pool!!! No restaurant!!!!, No gym!!!’ You are basically paying For the unit, beach towels and the Beach access, thats all. However, it is not a big deal Because it is so beautiful, You don’t really need a pool and the Property is well located Near Restaurants and supermarkets. On put specific unit, the sofa bed Was is Very Bad shape, Almost Broken, our children did not Have A good sleep unfortunately, unit is dated, it is ready for an update and anew sofa Bed, For the price we paida confortable Bed/sofa bed is a must.

Kiahuna Plantation and Beach Bungalows is a fantastic place for a family vacation. The rooms are spacious and offer beautiful views, and the lush green areas are perfect for kids to play. High-quality grills are conveniently located near each building, making outdoor cooking easy and enjoyable. The beach is small but charming, with moderate waves suitable for snorkeling and beginner surfing, while still being safe for kids. The pool area, gym, pickleball, and tennis courts are just across the road. Additionally, there's a coffee shop, a small mall, and several great restaurants within walking distance. The rates are reasonable, making it an excellent value. Highly recommended!

Our room was in a building near the road, which made it a bit noisy at times. Roosters crowing in the morning were another source of noise. The room’s sound insulation wasn’t great, so if you're sensitive to noise, I’d recommend requesting a room farther from the road for a quieter experience.

This is our 2nd trip to Kauai in the whole and to Poipu Bay in particular. So, we knew where to go. Poipu is the best place to stay in South Kauai. The location is pretty close to many famous attractions, meanwhile, the rental car is anyway must here on the island. The infrastructure is pretty well developed, many nice restaurants and shops are in walking proximity, you just need to cross the main road. Drugstore and grocery stores are also located nearby in the old city of Koloa. The Poipu beach is one of the nicest here, but overcrowded! The sunsets here are just awesome! However, Kiahuna beach, where we stay in, we prefer more: it is also very nice and wasn`t so crowded. You can rent all swimming equipment here at an affordable price, surf lessons are also available and our daughter paid 75$ for 3 hours in a group of 3 people including her. Next morning, she found they were 4 in a group, which was a little dissapointment, because it takes more time for Instructor to work with 4 in the water, she had less personal time stayed with Instructor.

prices in Hawaii are sky rocketing. We`ve been visiting Hawai'i pretty often and see the dynamics, especially in Food segment. Therefore, if you don`t want to deny yourself anything, be ready to have a full wallet here. This is the resort for the rich.

EVERYTHING! I have been coming to Kiahuna Plantation since I was a little kid and we came back this time to celebrate a big birthday for my dad. We had a 1-bedroom paradise garden suite on the ground floor that was spacious, had a beautiful patio and easy walk (under 5 mins) to the beautiful, swimmable beach! Room also came with a membership to the Club across the street (8 minute walk) that had tennis courts, fitness classes, beautiful pool and excellent restaurant (Ahi Tacos are to die for!). In addition to all that, easy to walk or drive to two close by outdoor "malls" with lots of food and shopping options. Hardest thing is working up the ambition to leave the property as everything you need is right there!

Only thing to know as part of your planning (and nothing to do with the property) is that if you're coming from the airport you may want to stop by Safeway/Costco on your way to the property. There are a few convenience stores/drug stores and a very nice natural food grocery store within walking distance, but we found stocking up at Safeway in Lihue (about 20 minute drive) was well worth it before tucking in for a week.

Wonderful grounds, location, and beach at your doorstep. Great spot to relax, swim, snorkel, or learn to surf. The grounds are immaculate with lots of plants and flowers. There's a small shopping center across the street with restaurants. The beach is mostly private and a wonderful spot for sunsets. A beach cabana will give you a clean beach towel each day. There's a laundry facility on site.

Individual property owners manage each suite, so it's uneven. For the unit we stayed in, while clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished, the incidentals were barebones for the price. The minimum number of towels, a bent rack, enough shampoo for one night with three people for a week-long stay, and not enough flatware and plates. I would expect more of those secondary items for the premium rate.
