Hampton Inn & Suites Effingham has no competition! The hotel is amazing. It is clean and very welcoming. Sarah took care of my check-in. Immediately, she welcomed me with a beautiful smile. Checking in didn't take long at all, and even had a great conversation. The room was clean, and I mean clean!! From now on I will be using Hamptom Inn wetever I go!

Outstanding hotel. The rooms were very nice and clean. Good size. The interior of the hotel was bright, clean and looked well maintained. Check in was fast. Loved it. If there was 20 stars on the rating system then I would have given a 20 star rank.

We were on the road traveling from Louisiana to Michigan for my husbands work. It was a last minute reservation and the room was spotless and very comfortable.

I don’t like the fact that I’m law enforcement and y’all no longer offer a discount to first responders.

Location was good, close to all the businesses. Looked new inside.

Large rooms that seemed to let sound travel. Also my mother can not walk very far. The rooms given was on upper floors. They had no equipment such as a wheelchair to help us get her to the room.

Scones were good. Suite room lay-out with rotating TV. New carpet in hallways and decor of rooms.

Scrambled eggs and hard boiled eggs were not tasty. Freezing when we arrived in the room.

Very clean and quiet. Great location with easy access to the highway. Breakfast buffet had good variety. Staff was friendly.

The mattresses were not particularly comfortable, but the hotel overall was very clean and nice.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was warm and plentiful. The hotel and our room was beautiful and very clean. I would definitely suggest this hotel to anyone I know traveling to that area.

There was really nothing to not like. The view out the window was not great but most hotels near highways don't have great views. They did not have peanut butter with the breakfast and would have liked to have that on my bagel. ;0)

The studio room with two queen beds was well worth the little extra money. It had enough room that we could all spread out and walk around without tripping over each other. Breakfast had a number of choices, and trays to help carry it to your room.

A little short staffed the night i stayed. It wasn't really a problem to wait five minutes to check in, but there was no sign saying they'd be right back, so i did start to wonder what had happened.

Though I expect the hotel was very booked with guests coming for the solar eclipse, check in went very smoothly. The breakfast buffet was delicious.

Staff is exceptionally friendly. Very clean. Great location. Appreciate the breakfast. Not unique, but great selection and quality. Stayed with Hampton Inn for business regularly in the past and have always had a great, consistent, experience.

Oddly enough, the thermostat wouldn’t turn the air conditioner off (early July visit), so the room was plenty cool. Not an issue, just an observation.
