I like the cleanliness of the room. I love the laminate flooring and the clean bathroom. Didn't care for the coffee you had in the room. Prefer the rainforest coffee. And a newer mattress would be nice. It's kinda hard. My dad was old.

The hallway carpet was old. Didn't like. The coffee I like rain forest coffee. I love have coffee in my room without getting dressed and going downstairs. So please put better coffee in the room. Rain forest is nice. Or Green Mountain.

The breakfast was good and cleanliness of kitchen area was great. breakfast options were prefect, but my kids said you needed bacon too LOL coffee station was always stocked and clean. Overall a VERY CLEAN facility. The complimentary cookies and popcorn were a nice treat! The consistently maintained complimentary water and coffee is a nice touch. The laundry room was clean and convenient for us to utilize when needed, there aren't any detergent vending machines in the laundry room, but there is a Walmart directly across the street that you can walk to, to get ALL you Lau dry supplies. For it being a pet friendly location, it was VERY clean inside & out and had no overwhelming traces of pet odors. Were a dog loving family and appreciate that you accommodate pets as well, we will definitely bring our bulldog next time we visit.

my kids loved the pool, but it was a bit too humid. we propped the side door open to regulate the air in there. I feel that The side door at the pool area should be a lil more secured overnight after pool hours.

On my arrival I was greeted with a huge smile by the front desk personnel named Greg. I knew right away that my stay was going to be awesome. When I entered my room the first thing I noticed was the beautiful walls painted dark purple with gray. The headboards were gray upholstered leather! The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were of high quality. This hotel splurged on their guests making sure everything you needed for a stay was available. The dove products were a great addition. Breakfast bar had a lot of choices and the staff was very friendly. When entering the hotel you knew right away that this was a very classy hotel with all of the beautiful decor. A added bonus was the free cookies and popcorn in the lobby in the evening. First class hotel! Oh and the price I paid for this was a little over a hundred dollars!! Thank you LA Quinta for making my stay enjoyable.

My stay wasn't longer.

It was a great place for our family Christmas. There were lots of restaurants around it. The children really enjoyed the pool. It was very clean with friendly staff

We had to leave a night early because there was a storm coming in. We had 4 first responders in our group, and they had to get home to help in their communities. There was a non cancelation on these rooms, so we lost the second night reservation payment . I guess that has to do with Booking.com, not the hotel, though. We were having a good time. The hotel was perfect.

We have never stayed in Effingham, IL before, so we were unsure what to expect. The location of the hotel was great. Good places to shop, eat and even take a walk. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Thank you, LaQuinta!

There was no freezer section in the refrigerator in our room. So we had to ask the front desk staff if they had a freezer to put our "blue ice" freezer containers in overnight, which they did without hesitation.

The hotel was extremely clean and modern. Our room was large and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The complimentary hot breakfast was very good.

I wanted to give this hotel an excellent rating because it's a beautiful hotel, but unfortunately, we only had luke warm water in the shower. I reported it to the front desk attendant who told me that they were having an issue with water temperature in the entire hotel and that some rooms only had cold water. So, if the water had been hot, I'd definitely return.

Clean, with nice shower. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Having the option to make a breakfast burrito with the eggs and sausage was neat. I couldn’t find a pitcher of milk for cereal, so it was a bit wasteful having to use a carton. The location is great with lots of restaurants nearby.

I’m one who likes to have the constant noise of the AC unit fan. These shit off frequently, which would wake me up. Not a fault, just a personal quirk.

I booked a King room, but we were given a suite. I actually went down to check that they gave us the correct room! I wish we could have stayed longer as the room was comfortable. We left before breakfast was open but the night clerk made sure we had coffee. He was exceptional; friendly and definitely made sure we did not feel like we were bothering him.

Nothing the hotel can do, but the semi noise on the road is a little bothersome. I would stay there again, even with the noise as it is not bad enough to keep you awake.

The staff was AMAZING! So kind and helpful and caring!! On day one staff made sure food was always fresh and there for hotel guests. The second day we missed the breakfast and female staff member who was cleaning up the area after breakfast noticed and took time to realize we missed breakfast. She was so apologetic that breakfast was over. She allowed us in to take what they still had AND went in back and got us breakfast sandwiches that were in the freezer. How kind, she should be acknowledged. I would also like to mention I like the deep purple accent walls and beautiful check in area... the wallpaper is so pretty.

I liked everything.

My only complaint was when I arrived and when to front desk….first person didn’t speak but pointed a finger at other person….when I went to her she was on a phone doing something and didn’t acknowledge me or say please wait she just continued doing whatever she was doing before finally checking me in. Felt it was very rude out of both of them and unprofessional! To me you should always acknowledge someone even it’s just to say will be right with you.
