This is an older property that is a "classic" style motel. I suppose most people would be inclined to drive right past it. However, if you are looking for value for the money, it would be a mistake to pass up this little gem. The people who run it are very friendly and the rooms are very comfortable. We slept great on the beds and the climate control systems work well. The room was very clean, and we were never disturbed by "neighbor noise". It is very well maintained. We appreciate small business owners who take pride in their business and put in the effort to win customers. We will definitely stay here when we return to Keokuk. You won't find a better value and will bepaying a lot more to stay in one of the "big name" hotels.

Beautiful woodwork within. Everything worked the way it should. Good location in town. Friendly staff. Great place to stay in Keokuk at a reduced price.

The heater/airconditioner unit was by where you hang up your clothes, so a little inconvenient,....but it worked well.

The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and had a very nice shower. There was even a kitchenette, which was a nice surprise. We stayed two nights. It is an older motel, but don't let the first impression scare you. We would definitely stay there again.

It could use some exterior fixing, but that doesn't affect a good night's sleep.

No breakfast offered. Room was nice and beds comfortable.

Parking lot was being paved and so not able to park close to room. Also the cicadas were awful and when we got up in the morning there were many dead on the sidewalk.on the whole it was good.

Beds were very comfortable. The Chief Motel has very good tv service and actually very good tasting water. Very helpful staff and very courteous. Would definitely stay here again.

The rooms are a bit small but to be some what expected for and older property. a bit spread out but again older.

The motel is easy to find, very quiet and the room was comfortable. The price was also great. My partner said we will be staying again.

I can't think of anything that we didn't like.

There was a little bit of hair found in the bathroom area, but I’m a believer that nothing is perfect. Overall it was a good experience and the staff was genuine/helpful.

The room was surprisingly well furnished, even with a kitchen. The staff were polite and helpful.

The hotel admitted all of the noise from the road. The promised breakfast was not available.
