Nice hotel in Fort Mason. Traveling through the area we stopped at this hotel in passing and decided to stay overnight in Fort Mason to see the town. i compared the rate quoted by the front desm and was able to save using Booking.com. Room was comfortable. We thought the mattress was comfortable too but a bit high for us (shorter folks). Typical breakfast with good variety. You make them waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuit, bagels, english muffins, bread to toast, gravy, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, juices, coffee, tea fruit, likely missed a few things but you get the idea. One thing that was unusual was sausage stuffed waffles in the fridge. Kitchen attendant was helpful and friendly as were all of the staff we encountered.

Hotel has no elevator for second floor access. We were able to secure a room on the first floor. Also, we enjoy a pool but this facility has no pool - does have a fitness room. Ice machine was out of service on first floor during visit.

Amenities that I was not expecting, shampoo and conditioner and body soap, huge plus in the shower . Around the clock coffee. And a little snack shop should you get hungry😁 The outdoor patio, we found it very useful, they had cornhole bags, a nice cozy fireplace, table & chairs & umbrella our private getaway. Also a propane grill, which we did not use, but others did take advantage of it, a great plus!

Needed a new shower head in our room. It almost blew me over. My mattress had a place in it that sagged and you had to sleep in that area.

We stayed in the family suite and it was so nice and comfortable. The room was very clean. Our kids loved it. The breakfast had a good variety of choices and was tasty. The shower water pressure and volume was one of the best I've experienced in a hotel. The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful. There was a tiny concession area in the lobby where you could buy snacks, small entree meals, drinks, and other necessities like Tylenol or ibuprofen. We also enjoyed exploring a little bit of Fort Madison and thought it was a cool old town with interesting history. We loved our experience and would absolutely recommend this hotel to other families.

The only thing was I was surprised there wasn't a hair dryer provided in the room, but that's still okay.

Great breakfast, excellent bathroom and room for all 6 of us. Location was a bit away from Nauvoo (Where we were visiting) but not bad. Kids loved it. We made great memories.

No elevator, which was only an issue getting suitcases and food we brought up to the second floor. Still super pleased with the room and service.

The rooms were very clean, spatious and comfortable. We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast which was fine and met our expectations. The staff was friendly and took care of us quickly at check-in and checkout.

There was only one thing that was unfortunate. The amount we were charged for the stay was more than Booking.com's final charge. I created a customer service case on the matter.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Very comfortable beds (pillow-top mattresses). Room was very clean and it was quiet. Lots of delicious breakfast options. Quiet. Highly recommend!! Anthony was very helpful when we forgot something in our room. Thank you!!

Staff was smart, efficient and very friendly. The entire hotel and the rooms were very clean and smelled pleasant. Linens were nice quality and beds had many pillows choices. Warm cookies in the lobby was a surprise and delight!

Such good staff.. great little touches to make it seem inviting. Loved the little handwritten note from housekeeping. And just leaving a little light on in the room was a nice touch when you first walk in.

Breakfast offerings were excellent. More than I would have expected for the price. Everything was clean, the staff was friendly (even the cleaners).

I felt the price was just a bit higher than it should have been but for the excellent accommodations I am not complaining.
