It was nice to have multiple hot protein options at breakfast. Having hand soap in the bathroom is always a plus. Loved that the pillow cases told you which ones were firm vs. soft. Winter weather closed roads the day we were scheduled to check out. The staff were very accommodating with giving us a late checkout because of it and helping us stay updated on the road conditions. We ended up needing to stay an extra night because of it and they were very kind about it.

The bathroom needed some maintenance with rust stains in the tub and paint damage/peeling on the walls. Although the sausage gravy was good, the biscuits were rock hard all three days that we were there for breakfast. The pool heater was broken and the hot tub looked gross on the bottom (probably just a paint issue but it looked terrible) The area around the pool was slippery as ice, we had some falls.

The business center was closed for renovations. I needed to print a 12-page document, and they let me do that with the printer in their office. Also, by mistake, I left a charger for a medical condition reporting device. It wasn't life-threatening, but they confirmed they retrieved the charger from our room, and pointed me to a service they use that quickly sent the charger to my home. On check-in, upon my request, they gave us a room farthest from the highway that was quiet enough to get a good night's sleep.

The extensive renovations ongoing at the motel were a bit of an eyesore, but didn't cause any significant problems for us.

The property is well maintained, the room was clean and comfortable. The fitness center is small, but well maintained with good equipment. Breakfast was very good. Staff were very courteous and efficient.

Location is a challenge. I’ve stayed there before, but still needed help navigating the course to the hotel. It’s in the middle of a complex of other hotels, service stations, chain restaurants, etc.

Staff was nice and friendly. Convenient location off of I-70.

I had booked a king room but was given a queen room. Seems error was on booking.com. The room was good but should have been cleaner as there was long hair all over the couch from a previous guest. Ask to stay on the top floor as you can hear the person stomping in the room above you.

I liked the attention to cleanliness and food provision in the breakfast nook. And the gym was pleasant to use.

I always think desk staff should always look professional. Both stays most of them did, wearing the uniform shirt, but then there was one gal who looked like we got her out of bed. This needs to be in staff training.

Location to the interstate was perfect for our stop. Valerie went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. Room and facilities were clean and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety and was hot. There is something for everyone, simple but adequate. Very positive experience and I would definitely stay here again if I was traveling through.

There was an error in my prepaid booking.com reservation where the hotel had no record of it. I was able to call booking.com's customer service line, get priority attention using my confirmation number and pin associated with the reservation. The agent spoke with me and called the hotel immediately to resolve my issue. Again, Valerie went above and beyond at the hotel to make sure my family was taken care of. It was a minor inconvenience for which it was handled promptly and professionally on all sides.

It looked like the rooms were newly remodeled. We stayed here twice on our trip out west and back. The breakfast was one of the better ones we encountered on our trip. The hotel is right off the main highway and a short drive into town for shopping and restaurants.

Nothing really. The only problem we had was with our key cards but a quick trip to the desk took care of that.

The bed and pillows were so comfortable! The room was very clean. The staff were so friendly and efficient! The breakfast was very good! We loved the way the curtain kept the light out at night! And the amount of shampoo, conditioner, body soap, and hand soap was very generous! Thank you for such a great overnight stay!

Holiday Inn Express is my favorite hotel chain for these reasons: Rooms - consistently clean, soundproof and have in room coffee with fridge and microwave. Beds - firm, with pillows that range from flat to puffy Breakfast - decent variety (sweet breakfast options along with good protein options) great coffee and half/half For the extras: clean pool and hot tub - hot tub helps after a long drive. Service is always provided with a smile/courtesy Staying at HIE is worth the money.

The place and staff were very nice. Everything was clean and put in order in the room. The morning breakfast was very good with large selection and the staff member was very attentive and friendly!
