The owner, Chuck, who is the grandson of the original owner, puts a lot of work into this place! He takes a lot of pride in the expansion that he has done to the original property! The Motel retains its original appearance from the front, but he has built all new bathrooms behind some of the smaller rooms that feature beautiful stone and tile and large showers! Being that it is actually a Motel, you can park right in front of your room, so loading and unloading of the car is quick and painless! No hassle of elevators or kids running up and down the hallway!! The water is good and the beds are nice and have lots of pillows!!

The trade off of it being a smaller Motel is that there isn't always someone at the front desk, but if you aren't too 'needy', it shouldn't be a problem.

I like the design of the exterior structure of the motel, as well as the interior layout of the room I was assigned to. I lreally liked the large glass walk in shower with the rain shower shower head . I also liked the large screen TV and the channels assigned to it. 🙂

I didn't see a blow dryer supplied, and the chair infront of the desk needs to be replaced (the seating part of it is worn out), which made it a bit uncomfortable sitting on it.

The owner was very gracious and accommodated our very late arrival (we arranged in advance). He greeted us with a smile and was very pleasant. The room was very large and exceptionally clean. The bed was firm and comfortable. There was very little noise from the road. Rooms are all ground level and accessed from individual outside doors so no need to lug suitcases long distances. Check out was as simple as leaving the key in the room and locking the door with the interior door handle button as you leave.

The only thing we encountered, (and this may completely be that we missed it being said at check in since we were exhausted), was that the listing mentioned a hot breakfast was included. However, I don't recall mention of when or where it was served but the owner did mention he was going to church in the morning. We did not see anything in the room mentioning breakfast. As we arrived so late, I didn't want to bother the owner once we realized we didn't know if breakfast was being served. Honestly, we may have ended up skipping it to sleep anyway. We did have a very good breakfast in town at Spork.

The owner is incredibly nice and cares about his business. The rooms are immaculate with a choice of larger beds or a larger bathroom. I’ve stayed in worst places for more money, but I’ve never stayed in a place this nice for so cheap.

The property itself is a little small and I’m afraid when I need to book it next year it will be full. This place is definitely a diamond in the rough and I look forward to staying over next year.

Chuck the Owner lives onsite, he and his family service the rooms. He was welcoming and kind during my stay and I would class him as a friend who’s property I would stay at again. Large room with spotless bathroom, ample towels, strong hot shower. Large bed with hundreds of pillows! Huge tv with never ending channels. Plenty of storage and hanging space for clothes. Location was easy to find, with plenty of safe well lit parking. Short walk to Walgreens & 7-11. Short drive to Several restaurants, MacDonalds, Starbucks, general stores.

This was my first time in Elkton. I came here for a concert at the newly opened Elkton Music Hall (great place!) and found Sutton Inn online. It looked like the closest good hotel to the venue. This inn is really a motel but is very clean with well kept grounds and a quiet, peaceful feel. The king bed was very comfortable and all bathroom facilities appeared to have been recently upgraded. The manager/owner was most gracious and helpful. There are many stores, fast food restaurants, etc. nearby. Overall I was very impressed with the Sutton Inn and will stay here again the next time I go to Elkton Music Hall for a show.

The Sutton Inn was fine. My main "problem" was transportation to the venue. I couldn't find an Uber/Lyft. There are taxi services but they seemed overwhelmed on the night I was there.

Chuck is an awesome host and runs an excellent inn and really takes pride in his work. He allows us to keep our boat on property when we come down to fish tournaments on the flats and provides power so we can keep our boat batteries charged. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are top notch.

Everything. I checked in at 9:00pm and the owner, himself, escorted me to my room, turned lights and TV on and had the WIFI password for me. He even had a small heater already on in the room, as it was exceptionally chilly! So entering the room it was nice and toasty! He also offered to carry my bag! Immaculate room and bath. Very good water pressure and plenty of hot water! Great Value!

This motel is a hidden gem. It was perfect for my one night stay. Extremely clean and neat. New carpet and a large screen tv with many channels. The bathroom tiles were so shiny that they glistened. The owner/manager was very friendly and nice and I was able to borrow a hair dryer since I forgot mine.

Nothing that I didn't like.

No staffing at the front desk. You had to make a phone call to get someone to open the front desk area.
