The front desk staff were very nice. When our key didn't open our door, she immediately changed the batteries so it would work. Our room was near the pool and laundry and I had a chance to wash clothes. The Detroit Lake was right there and very pretty. It was convenient to the highway and gas, as well as Itasca State Park, which we wanted to go to. Breakfast was pretty good and had a wide variety. There was 24/7 coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, along with frozen pizzas and ice cream in the lobby. Very nice landscaping - the pink dogwood were in full bloom.

I really wish the eggs weren't powdered. And because it is so close to the highway, the truck (and train) noises never quite go away.

It was close to a restaurant we were going to eat at while we were in Detroit lakes, so it was convenient and walkable to the restaurant (The Fireside). I liked that the hotel offered cookies for their guests, and that it was on our way home after traveling for the last month. We appreciated that we had a room on the first floor since we did not want to deal with our luggage. Easy to find and parking was convenient. Very close to the lake!

Nothing negative regarding this hotel.

Beds were very comfortable. Hot shower. Room was pretty clean. Only real negative was the towels were super small and thin. Like motel 6 towels.

Short staffed at Continental breakfast. Only front desk worker was there. Hotel was packed. She couldn't keep up. Had to wait for coffee. Over half the items at breakfast were empty. And this was 1.5 hours before breakfast was over. Not her fault. But definitely a problem. All the guests were disappointed.

Checking in at 3:00 was great as we were staying for a prayer service at 4:00. The warm chocolate chip cookies & coffee upon checking in were welcoming. Also, I was impressed with the exceptional clean & super warm swimming & whirl pool that was open right away in the morning at 6:00 am. After check out, I forgot an important item in the room. I called & they had it recovered & available behind the check in desk when I returned. So appreciative of their service.

The breakfast had limited choices for protein. No eggs. The hot stuff was limited to 'make yourself' waffles, bacon, and a crock of sausage bits & gravy. Cold cereal, apples, juice, nothing exceptional other than glass plates & real silverware.

The breakfast is one of the best in hotels of similar category: real egg omelets, waffles, bacon, potatoes, juice, coffee, REAL plates and silverware! The only thing I would have also liked is yogurt, but not a deal-breaker.

The beds are a bit soft, but that might just be me.

The friendly and helpful staff. When we had trouble with the television, they came and helped us immediately.

A updated printout for the television stations. What we got off internet did not conform to our room. Once we got the printout for our room things were great. Would also have liked to been able to extend our stay one night longer without having to check-out and then check back in, but the staff did make it easy for us and we didn't have to change rooms.

It was all clean thru out the building and the staff was willing to help you if you needed something right away!

They didn’t have a vending machine for snacks all I seen was a soda machine next to the ice machine on the first floor, maybe have some snacks available behind the desk for purchase! And our shower water was hot and than it turned cold real fast and went back to hot, maybe wasn’t used much was a handicap room like that the showers are higher up so you don’t have to bend over to wash hair like other hotels!

The location was easy to fine and get to. Breakfast was massive lol excellent selection and clean separate room. We stayed Monday and Tuesday night the hotel was quite. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows

The breakfast was exceptional. We had eggs and potatoes and sausage and fresh fruit everyday. My husband also had waffles

There was only one chair in the room. Not comfortable for watching TV.

Spacious and roomy!

The crack in the door was huge and let tons of light in on the side and bottom of door. The sticker on our key said pool hours till midnight. I got my kids all dressed and ready to go swimming to find out the from 9pm to midnight is adults only. This was only posted on the door as you go into the pool. They were also out of coffee.
