We have stayed here 5 times in the last year and have always loved it. However we just learned that they got rid of most of the themed rooms which are our favorite so we might see if others have some.

First room had a broken toilet that was leaking water onto the carpet and made the room smell moldy. However this was quickly fixed when we went to the front desk the guy was supper nice and apologetic even though it wasn't his fault. He got us into another room right away and we slept perfectly.

We love the friendly staff ,the pool area, the beds are super comfy! Love the location. The breakfast is the best free breakfast .

The bathrooms are too small, another breakfast area would be really great for busy times ,even when we were some of the first the busses of people were already there and it was hard to find sitting room wich is fine in the warm months because there is beautiful sitting areas outside but if it's cold and you don't want to eat in your room it's hard to get a seat.Hot tubs don't blow hard enough like they used to but are warm.Hit the hangers everytime to walk from the bathroom to the bed, small rooms.

It’s very clean, which is my primary priority. It’s also located in a very good spot. Access to the routes that go around the main Hwy 76 traffic is very easy.

The bed is very soft, which is great for a single night, but the pillows are ROCK hard. I even called the desk to ask for different pillows but they don’t have any others. We ended up at Walmart to buy pillows. I highly recommend you take your own pillow if space allows. The housekeepers also don’t come in daily and we had to ask for extra towels because they only left us three and we don’t re-use at our dermatologist’s recommendation.

Location, comfort

Bathroom is TOO SMALL, cannot hardly move in it. Toilet seat needs to be replaced. It moves when you sit down. Toilet is low to the ground and hard to get up from. Maybe replace or add a grab bar for older or heavy people to help get up easier and safer. Room was fairly clean. There was something on the top of the water faucet that was not clean when we arrived (looked like backeash from bruching teeth), and I found a wire near the bed and wall that was lying loose on the carpet and had dust/cobwebs on it. I threw it away.

I liked the breakfast really well. The location was close to everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The breakfast had many options and it was fantastic. They had 2 pools both indoors and a arcade. That ny kids liked. Wife and I enjoyed the hot tub

We couldn't decide if the pillows were air filled or stuffing. Once I realized it was a pillow protector and unzipped it little to let the air out pillows were comfortable. The sheets had a off half fitted half regular sheet we didn't like. I like my sheets not tucked while I sleep. The beds were small for queens. The bathroom was very small.

The room was comfortable and clean. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The staff were all lovely. I appreciated the pool having towels available. The pool was a little chilly but overall fine. I liked having a hot tub to lounge in. The location was convenient. I liked that it is located near the main strip but not on it so it wasn’t bright or noisy at night.

The breakfast wasn’t great. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, a meat, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, bread, and pancake or waffle for the toaster. There was also a canned fruit like pears or fruit cocktail. We actually didn’t even eat there the last day. The scrambled eggs were fine. The hash browns were awful. The second day they were tater tots and were not edible. The hot tub was nice but the lines at the edge of the stairs need to be repainted. When the bubbles are activated you can’t see the edge of the stairs and I almost fell.

my check in Lady was Heather.... OMG i hope I have her name right... she was awesome, it was too cute .. she was getting ready to get off and her 2 little babies were there to pick mommy up from work... with dad, it took me so long to decide what room would be big enough for my family and I to stay in... in which made her babies have to wait for her to get off work ...longer, but heather kept a smile on her face and got us together!

the people upstairs where SUPER LOUD as it came to them running / play fighting and walking. I guess to it being an older hotel. I was awaked up all threw the night and mornings. we overslept threw out check out time due to the noise... but Rodger was nice enough to let us stay until 12pm. the house keeping service lady was a bit rude.... they only clean up rooms EVERY OTHER DAY... I'm a nurse, and due to the covid outbreak, my cleaning levels went to an all new high, the day of her cleaning my room, she didn't get to our room, which was on the bottom level, until 3pm... which held back our morning fun, by the time she was finish cleaning our room, it was 5:45pm. But the day of check out ... she was most definitely there by 10:30am... all while huffing and puffing !

We were very pleasantly surprised by the large and tasty buffet breakfast. The beds felt new and were very comfortable. I liked that there were two pools and hottubs since it is a pretty large hotel.

Check in was just a little longer than normal because the clerk wasn't able to split the bill in half for us. The pillows were way to hard and thick. I discovered the next morning that if I unzipped the zipper case it allowed them to flatten out a little bit. And we walked from building 1 to 3 for the hottub only to discover the jets weren't working in it. As with any hotel I am requesting they install shower massage units. So much easier to shower with one. Especially little kids.

This is our 3rd stat at Stonecastle. I love the location, very peaceful and love the gazebo and babbling brooks there.

I think it is time to over haul the pool hot tub area. The hot tub in building 3 seem to not have the jets working, building 2 the pipes above the hot tub have water dripping. It is nice to have indoor pools, but they are always freezing water. Would be nice to have heated indoor pool or an option of outside pool as well.
