The location is great, centered in quaint little Gardiner, with easy access to everything on the Park side of town. The room was comfortable and classy, from the soft-close toilet seat to the high quality plumbing fixtures. Microwave and Small refrigerator expand the options for breakfast or to prepare a picnic for the day! Staff was great, helpful and very friendly. The related Backcountry Bistro was great for dinner too - tasty and very friendly staff.

About the only (-) is the non-adjustable shower head. A massage setting would have been nice for after-Park hikes.

There were no meals provided, we never met a staff member-which was fine, our checkin was smooth- keys were waiting for us upon our late arrival. The room is convenient to everything and we walked a lot when we weren’t busy touring Yellowstone- great trip!!

Add some hooks to the bathroom wall since there’s not a space to hang clothing. Would have loved to have 2 chairs outside to look at the view.

Arrived late and key with a note was taped to office door as promised. Room was comfy, cute, large and close to Yellowstone.

Tried calling in early afternoon regarding delay and no answer. Called later and staff member was whispering because her child was sleeping. Was confusing at first. Staff member texted me with further question and explanation. All worked out fine.

The location is perfect. Our first time staying in Yellowstone area and I assume all hotels are about the same. The 406 Lodge is very new and very clean! It was easy to check in even though we arrived early for check in time. Lots of extra towels and comfortable beds! You can easily walk to restaurants and shops from this location which is a great treat after a long day in the car!

The coffee in the room isn't good. But great coffee available at several places around the corner.

What a fun little hotel and property! Super comfortable beds, which is always a plus!! Great bathroom and little kitchenette facilities. The room was very spacious with plenty of room for all your extras! It was also close to town so that you can walk anywhere with ease. And only a few blocks from the entrance to Yellowstone. The owners are very kind and offer many suggestions as to how to do the park, where to etc, etc. Highly recommend this property!

We were happy with everything!!

We enjoyed a large room -very clean and well appointed. Parking for the second floor was great-close to our room and off the street.

check in is difficult. the door is locked and one is required to call. The owners didn’t answer for the first 4 attempts. Finally we were able to reach them and within 10 minutes they were on property letting us in. They gave us a key and left again. We went to the room but the key wouldn’t work so we had to call them back and use their master key. It would be so much better if they took the guest to their room and made certain they were in and everything was fine.

The place was incredibly spacious, clean and nice. They had thought of many details, including rags that could get dirty, for your car, shoes, or skis, that was a nice touch. I booked the night before we showed up and despite that the price wasn't outrageous. Great location to walking downtown too and a great view to the river short walk away.

This is a great place to stay in Gardiner. Right in town and only steps away from all of the stores, restaurants and north (original) gate to Yellowstone. There is no staff right at the building but it is easy to communicate with them and they are very quick to respond to your needs. Would definitely stay here again.

Check-in was at exactly as stated with no lee way. Gardiner itself is very limited in choice of restaurants, with only ribs burgers or pizza
