Spent a wonderful four nights here on the banks of Yellowstone River over Xmas. Great views, cosy & perfectly located....a 10min drive to Gardiner and the Park's north entrance. Host was magnificent and communication was great. The property has fully functioning WiFi despite information to the contrary on booking.com. Really, an experience we'll never forget. Helped in no small way of course, that we were able to stay at this beautiful property. Thank you!

Despite the kitchen being otherwise fully equipped, there isn't an oven. However, there is a large microwave.

We had an excellent stay at the Yellowstone Gateway Inn without the slightest false note. Our accommodation was particularly comfortable and very well equipped: kitchen, TV, well-placed electrical sockets and efficient air-conditioning units. Our children were delighted by the small park and the free-roaming elk. I also appreciated being able to park my car in front of my door without having to make a long journey with my suitcases. The owner was efficient and friendly. The north entrance to the park is very close, then it's a 10-minute drive to Mammoth Hot Springs. The town of Gardiner is charming, with a pleasant atmosphere, and we would gladly return to the Yellowstone Gateway Inn.

The small supermarket is located just across the road, where you can find everything, but the prices are high: use it as a convenience store only.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. We did not see that our room actually had a separate master bedroom plus a bed in the living room. The kitchen was also fully stocked to cook. Normally when hotels say that you’re still missing things you need. Not this hotel you will have everything you need to cook a meal plus a dishwasher to clean it in. They also stock with name brand items which I’ve never seen before. There is also tons of animals around the property, and they are very calm and fun to look at.

Great location, just couple of minutes driving to get the North Entrance to the park. So close to nature! We saw elks and little rabbit infront of our house. Fully equipped kitchen. I was incredibly surprised to find a lot of kitchen gadgets! It's really useful if you stay there for more than a week.

The floor in the kitchen was a little dirty. It looked like it was swept but wasn't washed. It's not an issue for people who wears shoes indoors, but we always take it off that's why I paid attention to this.

the parking was good, the location great, the overall comfort good, and we were given extra bathroom towels and amenities. Carrie (the receptionist/owner?) was very friendly and efficient. The cabin was very quiet, with great views from the living room window. The place is large and comfortable for 6 people playing games (only three of us stayed the night)

The dining table is broken, the top is coming off the leg, so we had to be careful not to lean on it, and we spilled our drinks a couple of times because of that. the sofa bed could be more comfortable. You can feel the bar in the middle of your back. Also the mattresses in the beds were too soft for me, but I realize that is subjective. the maid who made the beds didn't do the fitted sheets right, and the corners were nowhere near the corners, but rather in the middle of the mattress. I remade my bed from scratch. these are small annoyances, but they add up and become more aggravating. But, they can be easy to fix and then i would have given a perfect score. with this said, I would stay again.

A comfortable bed, a cute kitchen with an ample fridge and a microwave, complete with dishes. The bathroom sink doubles as the kitchen sink. It did have a coffemaker and hair dryer. The decoration was in keeping with the rough backwoods vibe of Yellowstone National Park. We did love seeing the elk wandering around the yards and nearby.

One side of the bed didn't have a light. It was a little concerning having to wash the dishes in the bathroom sink, but they did supply dawn dishsoap. They might also supply some chlorox.

Room was spacious and convenient to parking lot. Full bathroom, kitchen and large living and dining room. Perfect for 4 guests. Stocked with everything you would need. Plenty of towels, toiletries and blankets. It was very comfortable. The location was perfect! 1 mile from the North Entrance to Yellowstone. The town itself was very quaint. Small shops, local restaurants and beautiful views of the mountains. We enjoyed walking around and shopping. Very cute town! Management was very friendly and accommodating. They even offered to got get us ice if we needed it - very cool! The adorable deer were closeby and would come up to your door for handouts. Loved seeing those beauties each day!

The room was dated and musty.

The room was actually two rooms plus a full kitchen and dining area. Each bedroom area had a big screen TV and the main bedroom also had a desk area. I loved the decor...photos from Yellowstone! The parking area is a bit tight and you cannot park right in front of some rooms, but everything is close together so that is not a problem for loading/unloading your car. Everything in the room worked great, as well as the internet. Great hot water and shower pressure. The hotel is pet friendly but be very cautious when taking your dog out as the elk seem to hang out at the hotel and surrounding property. While loading my car in the morning up to see two elk looking at me from about 3 feet away. We only stayed one night, but this would be a place I would gladly stay in again, and for a longer period of time.

The office is open limited hours. We arrived before check-in time but the clerk was kind enough to check me in. She was struggling with the paperwork and stated that she would get my copies to me later on. I never received those copies. She just didn't seem to know what she was doing but I believe she said she was new. Locals live right behind the hotel and seemed to walk through a lot which was a bit unnerving at night. The hotel is not on the main drag where the sign is. You must drive past it, turn down a side road and then drive a block back to the hotel. Not a problem...just something to be aware of.

The location was great for this hotel, the parking a little tight. The cottage was spacious and as advertised. The beds were updated (mattress) and comfortable. It is an older hotel, and the furnishings had some wear and tear and were outdated, but that was part of the charm. It would benefit from an improved air filtering system as the cottage had a musky smell upon first entering, but that dissipated with us opening the door and getting our things inside. We only stayed for one night, but I think this would be a good location for a family wanting to spend a few days exploring YNP.

They do need to update the bed linens. Everything else was serviceable and clean.

The accommodation was quiet, very well-equipped, and the National Park entrance towards Mammoth Hot Springs is literally over the bridge. Supermarket, café, everything else in walking distance. Through the front window facing the park, you can see a mountain range. There were wild deer walking in the proximity.

For our liking, the mattresses were too soft, but that's everyone's own preference.
