The place is an upgraded motel. The layout was a bit disconcerting at first. However, the rooms are small but well-furnished. Everything was clean and housekeeping standards were good. Communication with the staffing was pleasant and they keep long office hours in the summer. The location is unbeatable, just a few minutes away from the North entrance of Yellowstone NP on the main highway leading towards Livingston and Bozeman.
The tiles on the floor of the shower were weird. It had a pattern that made the surface look dirty.

Loved the location of the cottages by the riverside and so close to the market. The customer service was excellent. We had a very memorable stay!
A few things that come to mind that we think can be improved but nothing that make it unlikeable are: - some customers parked in such a way that made it difficult for us to go in and out of our parking easily - the windows do not make the rooms completely dark at night - there's no dishwasher or other basic non perishables such as foil, cling wrap, etc

The location was perfect! Walking distance to the market and restaurants in town. There was also a beautiful sitting deck overlooking the river where we saw elk and a bald eagle. Our cottage had everything we needed to have a couple meals at home which was appreciated since we had been eating out almost every meal in the earlier legs of our trip. The cottage was stocked with silverware, plates, cups, oven, etc, and was immaculately clean.
The walls of our cottage (#15) were pretty thin resulting in us hearing what felt like our upstairs neighbor's every move. I sleep with ear plugs as it is and we weren't in our room that much so it wasn't a major issue for us but it might be for some.

Riverside Yellowstone Cottages in Gardiner, MT is a great spot for a comfortable and quiet stay near Yellowstone. The cottages are clean, well-maintained, and have everything you need for a relaxing visit. The location is ideal, just a short drive from the North Entrance to the park. We especially enjoyed the peaceful setting by the river, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Overall, a solid choice for anyone visiting Yellowstone!

An excellent location, with a lovely view of Gardiner and the Yellowstone river, proximity to shops and restaurants and plenty to see and do. The room was nice, well equipped and suitable for a short stay. Cooking was a little tight in the space, but the equipment was clean and well looked after and we were able to prepare several hot meals as well as making packed lunches for days out in Yellowstone. The view was remarkable, with deer on the opposite bank of the river and an elk underneath our window one evening. Had the weather been warmer we would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony, but maybe next time.

Perfectly located for yellowstone, but also beautifully located for a sundowner at the hotel terasse with amazing views on yellowstone River. We highly enjoyed our stay. The room is spacious, clean and has everything which is needed. Biggest plus is the relaxed and calm atmosphere with the very nice staff. We loved it here and can highly recommend it.
Additional Pull-out bed (sofa-bed) a little bit uncomfortable, maybe a new mattress is needed in future. Everything else was perfect...

Wonderful property and helpful owner. The location is excellent (walking distance to everything in Gardiner), our room was a perfect size and had all the necessities for basic cooking. Nice touches (cookware, paper towels, boot tray, Kureg and good coffee, utensils, storage), very clean, comfortable bed. The view of the river is amazing also!
Blackout shades on the window would have prevented the porch light from being obnoxiously bright in our room at night. We ended up unscrewing the bulb and screwing it back in at morning. It was way to bright in the room.

Bed was very comfortable, coffee good, very clean and was quite fine for us. Shower was beautiful!
Really small, but that wasn't a problem. I wish there would have been instructions for the Cable TV. We're country folk using a Smart TV with rabbit ears. We ended up watching just one channel. Such a gorgeous mountain and river to the south. Wish there would have been a window! In the summer not a problem because of the wonderful patios.

The bed was comfortable. The young lady who checked us in was very personable and friendly, that was nice.
It was extremely overpriced. The room was spartan, two beds and no comfortable chairs to relax, just straight -back kitchen chairs that were hard and uncomfortable. The two beds completely engulfed the room and left hardly any area to maneuver. The TV had two remotes, with instructions in the hotel handbook, that did't work, finally gave up. The bed was comfortable.

We stayed in the Wolf Den room for one night. We were greeted by a very friendly front desk person. The older motel has gone through a complete interior renovation. The new owners have done a fantastic job in making a very comfortable space. Our room came with a stocked kitchen which we used for cooking both dinner and breakfast. The living room furniture is very comfortable. The bathroom has a new deep jetted tub and plenty of light in the vanity area to see with old eyes. The soft queen sized bed provided a great nights sleep for both of us. This cute property would be a first pick if we came back to the area.
Only two complaints, there needs to be a light source above the dining table and a better black out window covering in the bed room.
