We stayed for four nights at the Kalispell Hotel and had a wonderful experience overall. From the moment we arrived the manager, Mitch stood-out. He went out of his way to personally greet and engage every guest, which made the stay feel warm and personal. The room was very clean, though on the small side, but comfortable and well-maintained. The lobby was absolutely stunning, decorated in a tasteful Western theme with beautiful furniture and character throughout. The bookshelf in the common area was a lovely touch, filled with unique and interesting pieces that made it feel homey and curated. The chandlers were perfect touch. One of the highlights was breakfast, especially the freshly made quiche - clearly prepared with care each morning. The only downside was on Friday night when the locals tradition of "dragging main street" meant there were quite a few loud cars and trucks with no mufflers passing by, which disrupted the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Despite that one issue, we truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend The Kalispell Hotel to others looking for charm, comfort and genuine hospitality. Sincerely, Skip and Claudia

Love the Grand Hotel Kalispell! It is right on the main street of the cute town of Kalispell, and the huge lobby and breakfast area look exactly like they would have in 1912, when in fact the hotel opened. Can't compliment the super friendly, helpful staff enough! And we enjoyed the popcorn and cookie snacks they put out each afternoon. Breakfast was great - so nice that it wasn't the usual continental breakfast served at so many other hotels - the beautiful buffet featured homemade dishes such as quiches and fresh breads, which we loved. Our room was very big, nicely appointed, quiet, with a roomy bathroom and sitting area. We just loved the Grand Hotel Kalispell and hope to return one day. It was a great location from which to explore not only Kalispell, but Glacier National Park, about minutes away, the cute town of Whitefish, 20 minutes away (the Tuesday evening Farmer's Market is a load of fun!) and area attractions such as the wonderful Brash Rodeo in Columbia Falls, 30 minutes away, and local attractions such as the amazing Conrad Mansion. That was really incredible. The degree of curation and detail and the sheer number of artifacts is beyond belief. A must do! And Kalispell has just about every possible shopping option known to mankind ! We enjoyed spending time at Cabela's and Lowe's and Walmart!

neat historic place! breakfast was great. staff are absolutely fantastic. if you need breakfast earlier than the actual time, they can get some out for you, and there's fresh coffee in the elevator lobby of each floor. see note below about room amenities but staff can give you access to the kitchen microwave etc.

just be aware that this is an old hotel and it may not have a fridge and microwave in the room. but as i said above the staff and super helpful, and helped us out with the microwave situation. also if you're here for glacier np, again just be aware that staying in kalispell in general is going to add a solid 1.5 hours of driving every day versus west glacier, and that kalispell is a regular town more than a park entrance town, so, like, there isn't ice cream every 5 feet and tchotchke shops etc

We loved the location because you can walk to many places: shopping, restaurants & bars. The Wi-Fi is locked, and free, which is awesome, and even though we didn’t watch much TV they do have HBO on several channels. Also, loved the cookies and the popcorn in the evening.

Several reviews mentioned traffic noise, but we had no problem with that. We had an inside room, very quiet except for the window air conditioner, but it’s nice to have the option of turning it off.

Breakfast had homemade quiche and also baked oatmeal. Think bread pudding but without the guilt. Food kept cold sand replenished constantly. The room is very basic (hey it’s an old hotel!) but clean and with attention to detail-they stocked the room with the correct number of sets of towels! That never happens! Also we LOVED the a/c unit that ran with the white noise all night making for great sleep! Overall, it is not elegant in the modern sense, but the quality of the food and staff and bedding made it a rustic pleasure.

We had no complaints. It is a hundred year old downtown hotel.

Friendly staff. Great breakfast (quiche, etc). Unique Older building with wood raiĺings. Across from great Western store; blocks from Mercantile restaurant. Very comfortable beds! Allowed dogs ($25 fee)

View from windows from room (back of buildìng) was of a/c unit, another rooms a/c unit and rooftop with little view of street. Room with 2 beds was small so tight with 2 people & 2 dogs! Had to ask desk for wifi password. For a historic building it'd be fun to see more old photos & decorations. Lighting in room could be better. They had a special price deal at hotel not available through Bookings.com

room had a perfect layout for two. Beds separate in sections. Quiet location and nice side street view out the window. Right in the middle of lots of cool stores and places to eat. Great dog walking

Great location in the middle of town. Great old classic luxury hotel. They have done a good job of updating a very old hotel with many more modern conveniences. But still has the great old feel with some creaking and classic feels.

We had the 2 room suite and one of the rooms the heater seemed to be stuck on. Windows don't keep much of the noise out, but not a big deal.

They had a wonderful Continental Breakfast with items that you don't usually find on breakfast buffets. Particularly liked the baked goods & quiche. The location was central to so many bars & restaurants. There was a concert in the park a block away. Terrific!

I was so happy that they had an elevator, however, they joked about it being slow. It was but who cares when you're on vacation? You have nothing but time.

Exceptional location. 40 min to West Glacier entrance, nearby Flathead Lake, Big Fork, Lakeside. Next door to an excellent Western Wear outfitters. Well cared for and great history. The hotel has been operated since 1912. Nice touch with cookies and popcorn, coffee and tea.
