My sister and I are both tea drinkers and when I politely asked the breakfast attendant if I, or she, could fill my little (20 ounce) tea pot with the hot water attached to the “industrial” coffee maker, she insisted that the water in the hot water canister was plenty hot. But, of course, it was not. So each time we needed more hot water, one of us had to walk back to the side room by the lobby where there is another, red handled spigot for very hot water that is actually hot enough to brew tea. Not a huge deal, by why make it so hard?

Room was spacious. Several hot and cold options for breakfast - it was quite a walk in the conference center but was a pretty place to eat with lots of live plants. Loved the afternoon popcorn.
Room was spacious though the bathroom was a bit small - hard to close the door with someone inside with the placement of the commode. There was often a lengthy wait time for staff at the counter, and I never received my email receipt. The location was nice for access to downtown Kalispell but not very picturesque - the hotel was attached to the mall. It was a bit on the expensive side.

The Red Lion was picked for being within a mile of the courthouse and some other stops. It about a 15 - 20 minute walk through a pleasant downtown area. I didn't realize the hotel was literally at the end of a mall, just past an atrium where a decent breakfast was served every morning. The hotel says it's in the middle of a refresh. It was very clean, with genuinely friendly and helpful staff, and the room was quiet during the entire stay. Worn furniture belied a surprisingly comfortable bed, sheets, and pillows, and decent towels in a nice and fully functioning bathroom. Heating/temperature control was good, too, as was water temp and pressure. Tons of available parking. If called back to Kalispell, I'd happily stay here again.
As "pictured" in the website when choosing the room, it featured a comfortable living room style chair, in addition to the desk chair. This one didn't and when two people are in a room it would be nice if one person didn't have to sit on the bed if the other person is using the only available chair..The bottom door shelf of the refrigerator was missing the bar to hold in whatever one usually places there, so even if the door was opened gingerly, oftentimes the containers still fell out while the door was opened. Not huge, but a little inconvenient.

Great comfy place to stay while you are visiting glacier National park or going to the sun road as its about 20min south of the GNP. -free morning breakfast was included with our stay and to be honest it was the best out of all the hotels we have stayed in. Potato wedges, bagles, muffins, buscit, coffee, tea, juice, burger patty, omlet, scrambled egg, waffle, milk, nutri bar and a whole bunch of options. Breakfast dining area was huge with trees, shrubs and lots of tables well cleaned and staff was prompt at refilling breakfast. - Multiple room options we selected the one with two queen beds and was quite spacious. The one we picked had sliding door opeaning to central open space that had fire pit bench, mini bridge and river with lots of plants. -Hotel is attached to the mall which is great. This hotel has big indoor swimming pool, hot tub and sauna with towel services. -There is a nice gym with lots of cardio options and free weights but no weight machines. There is even a weight scale for all the fitness enthusiast. -This hotel is walking distance to this must try Norms soda fountain, starbuck & pizza hut is just outside the hotel and malls food court is attached to the hotel. -Hotel is quite safe no nuisance and kids friendly. Its in downtown area and on the streets in evening/night time be careful but inside the hotel its quite safe.
Gym can have more weight machine. Third floor was under construction when we visited.

The location was excellent. Right near the historic streets with dining and entertainment places with in walking distance. The hotel is clean, rooms spacious enough and the facilities in decent condition. It is slightly older looking but overall not in disrepair. The breakfast options were diverse enough with something for even fussy eaters. The attached mall doesn't really have great shopping options as more that 60 or 70% of the store are vacant, however we did learn that it had recently been sold to a new owner and big changes are expected. Overall the stay was good and the beds comfortable. Prices were not out of line with similar properties and facilities and honestly likely slightly cheaper than most.

We loved staying at the Red Lion Kalispell. Best part would be the courtyard with the fireplace. We were there for a family reunion so spent most of our time socializing there. The kids loved the pool, breakfast was great as was the staff. Nothing but friendly and helpful.
No beverages in the pool area. While on vacation with kids it’s always nice to enjoy a nice beverage by the pool.

We requested an early check in. We never got a response via booking.com When I called the Red Lion at the designated number, they said they could not respond to my question because I booked through a third party. I never got a response via Booking or Red Lion When checking out I asked for a printed receipt. The Red Lion told me I could only get a receipt via email. They could not print a receipt because I booked through a third party.

The location is perfect for our purposes and walking to historic downtown. The indoor pool was perfect for our family. Good size, clean, we organized and maintained. Breakfast was included and okay. Coffee was good. The popcorn machine in the lobby was a nice touch and the staff kept is full and ready.
Upon check-in the property charged us $40 for an early check-in. The hotel was 3/4 empty, so this extra charge was not necessary. The room was already clean and ready.

I was surprised with the size of the hotel overall as well as the room. The breakfast was good and it was great to have parking included. The hotel is quite old which is good and bad. On my part, I found it charming and in tune with the country atmosphere
The fact that is old may be a deterrent to some people, especially the odour in certain parts, although is nothing severe

Staff was wonderful. Breakfast had a good selection that was well stocked and kept clean. The bathroom was clean, and bed was comfortable. Price was reasonable.
Facilities are a bit worn. Carpets in the halls looked dirty and frayed. Some of the furniture in the room was worn more than expected and they accent wall looked like it was in a chucky cheese in a former life from the splatter and smears. But nothing that would stop me from staying again.
