The Nassau Inn is steeped in Princeton tradition, so having the iconic Tap Room right there to gather with friends is really what make this place special. That it's centrally located, walkable to everything in town with parking garages very near by is also a huge bonus. The bed was very comfortable

The decor is very dated. It reads mid-90s Calico Corners. There was no central switch to turn on the lights in my room. To get a decent amount of light I had to turn on two table lamps, a floor lamp and a desk lamp that were placed around the room. Then before I went to bed I had to do a lap around the room and turn off each light individually. Not a hardship but not ideal. I am wondering when American hotels are going to adopt the same practice used in many European hotels. When you enter your room you jam your key into a holder that allows you to turn the lights on. When you leave the room and take your key, it automatically turns off all the lights. It saves electricity and the operating cost of the hotel. Just a thought.

* A beautiful historic hotel in the middle of downtown Princeton * There are many coffee places and restaurants nearby * Rooms are big and beautifully designed in retro style * Very quiet * Friendly staff .

* Breakfast is not included. There is only an a la carte menu at the restaurant. (There is a free coffee stand in the morning though) * There is no fridge in the room * There is no kettle in the room (even if you ask for one) - Only a coffee maker.

Currently the only hotel in downtown Princeton (until The Graduate opens next year). Its certainly bigger than the pictures would suggest. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Staff was great, and also they provide free water bottles if you need.

No fridge in the room. The room itself is just really basic. Pretty much just a bed and a toilet. I would normally not pay more than $100 per night for such a room. Since Nassau Inn is really the only game in town they can dictate the price and you will be forced to pay this if you want to stay in the town proper. This makes the value for money less that desirable. During graduation and reunion season the price will surge to about $1000 for even the cheapest rooms which is just absolutely ridiculous.

Probably located in the best possible location in Princeton, the rooms need some upgrading. They are visibly old and lack of some facilities like a kettle or a proper coffee maker (there is one in the bathroom). For the price of the room, I was expecting a bit more from the quality. The hotel is otherwise fantastic and the staff is great.

Old amenities in the rooms.

Beautiful and warm and welcoming.

The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable but there were some little nits - the tub had chips in the paint, there was a stain on the rug, the coffee maker is in the bathroom. Those are just small complaints - the place is fabulous.

Location was the best! Close to Princeton which was convenient for visiting my son. Great restaurants and shops in the area. Hotel was relatively clean. Restaurant staff-Carly, very helpful! Lobby women's bathroom very clean.

Our bathtub did not drain, lobby staff was difficult to deal with at first. Manager Jessica intervened and was able to make things work by offering us another room to shower in so that we could make it to our scheduled engagements. Shower was later fixed by plumber with no further issues.

Unfortunately, we left extremely early and unable to enjoy breakfast! We did have dinner on Saturday; choices were tasty and staff very pleasant! Our room was very clean and comfortable. We will be back!

The only issue was poor phone service, but that was it!

Comfy bed, well maintained property, right in the middle of downtown Princeton. Staff was also very friendly and accomodating.

Room was a bit small. It was not a huge issue, but a little tight for getting ready for a wedding. Garage parking was straightforward enough, but could also be a little inconvenient since the closest garage to the hotel frequently fills up.

Great location. You can walk to restaurants and shops. If you arrive by car the parking garage is close by and reasonably priced. We stayed here before years ago and wanted to return. We will go back again.

We had a king suite, which was spacious and very comfortable. The bed and the sofa bed were comfortable. The location was perfect as the Inn is right in the heart of Princeton and Palmer Square. It was an easy walk to anything we wanted to do.

I didn't like that the Inn has only one restaurant with a very limited menu. I was also disappointed to find that ordering breakfast for room service was not an option on the website. I had to go downstairs to work out what we wanted between the registration folks and the restaurant folks. They were very helpful but I really shouldn't have had to go downstairs to arrange for breakfast room service.
