Top notch room. Quiet. Breakfast was terrific. Staff was friendly and helpful. I choose Watford City due to its proximity to the North Unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, and it's closer to the Williston area.. I did drive to the South Unit, but also went north one day to Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site (terrific) and the near-by Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence Interpretive Center(equally great) and Fort Buford (good but developing, and a knowledgeable guide for the Sitting Bull surrender house tour. ) I had considered driving from Mandan/Bismarck west to Medora, but choose to go north from Bismarck to the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center (worth some time to look at the exhibits), nearly Fort Mandan, and then west on 200A with a stop at the Knife River Indian Village NHS. All were great. Good choice as a route. I didn't see much of Watford City, too tired at the end of each day, but apparently it has its own sights.

The amount of TR posters, news clippings and other memorabilia was very entertaining. The room was clean, quiet and the comfortable bed made for a good night’s sleep!

Not having an elevator in the main hotel was a surprise, but the stairs up or down were few, and we could handle it with our luggage easily enough.

I slept there in July 1st at the beginning of my road trip on my Harley and stayed there again on July 31st. It is a wondeful hotel with a pool and jacuzzi and cozy rooms. The parking is a little tricky for a heavy motorcycle. Breakfast is included.

Unbelievable value. Pool, jaccuzi, sauna, laundry, writing desk, recliner (with massage function). Very comfortable room. Excellent Breakfast. Staff were superb-- friendly, helpful. Id find an excuse to go to Watford City just to stay here again.

This place exceeded my expectations in every respect.

Breakfast was delicious..the gal working kept it stocked..kids enjoyed the pool..front desk real nice and polite...rooms real clean..will stay again..over all..awesome!

It has interesting things to see and read on the walls.

The bed was a bit worn out. It could use new beds but still sleep well. I would stay here again.

I loved the location and all the facilities. I had room 158 close to the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The room was comfortable and well appointed. I love the decorations and photos of Roosevelt.

Unique & welcoming

Shower temperature changed from hot to cold (+hot to cold again) with a very minimal shift in the faucet. [Room 143]

We stayed here after spending the day exploring TRNP North Unit. Great pool and hot tub, nice room and the breakfast was great! Awesome value for the price.

“Dog friendly,” but not a good place to walk the dogs. Our room was literally in the basement without an elevator.
