MOST IMPORTANT: it was spotless clean! It’s a small converted, redecorated nursing home. Very roomy.

The dining room is to small, the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. Fancy new waffle maker but after taste on waffles, cereal stale. Individual Cups would be better. Small donuts had to be cheapest brand. coffee creamer curdled in the coffee!? Milk n juice fruit were fresh.

This motel is a gem. I'll definitely stay again. I would take the detour away from 35W because it was so peaceful and just has this restful vibe. The staff are so kind and even greeted my dog. The room was quiet and I'm sensitive to smells so I was grateful that it was truly non smoking and had no smells. It's an older property but they clearly care for it. The backyard area is gorgeous, and my dog felt so calm and rested after a good night's sleep and taking a walk on the grass above the lake. I don't know how they keep such a quiet and restful place when they're right by the highway, but they do!

I guess it would be nice to have little packets of butter rather than a spray butter for the waffles.

This is a great value, with very nice people. It's built in an old care facility of some kind, and it has large, very comfortable rooms with really good soundproofing. They are very clean, and you can feel the quality of the building. There's a lake outside for a view, if you get rooms on the back side. The larger rooms on the back side (I think all of them) have a comfy sofa which can sleep a child. Only one storey, so you don't have anyone above or below. We stayed there for a week last year, so we have quite a bit of experience.

Hmmm.... I would like a softer mattress topper. And more variety at breakfast. But this is a really nice place, and the best value I know of in McAlester.

I loved the decor. The hallways are lined with framed puzzles; very interesting and different topics. Not knowing what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised, especially with breakfast. The cleaning staff threw away the coffee I had because I had to leave it and come back for it. The girl apologized and said that people leave them all the time. I was able to get another one, no problem. Very friendly staff.

I would have preferred a larger bed or a second one. Or maybe if the couch made out into a bed. I was with my grown daughter and going to visit more family. She chose to sleep on the not-so-comfy couch.

Our room had plenty of room. The lady that was cleaning and booked us in was very nice. Couldn't have asked for her to be any better. It's nice and quite and you don't have the workers pestering you everytime you turn around. Tbry give you your space.

The only complaint I have is the breakfast. I went to makeme and my kids a waffle and was barely able to even ret one waffle because they were out of the mix. It wouldnt be so bad if there were more breakfast items to choose from, but they have very few items to choose from.

We were greeted with a personable welcome, and the attendant even upgraded our room bc 1st room was not quite ready for us when we arrived. Location was very handy, close to highway. A little noisey at entrance from highway traffic, but back of building room we stayed in was quiet & nice. Candlelight I&S provided a nice sleep over for us as we had a long travel ahead of us.

Breakfast would be ok for most people, but we are low carb eaters, so we didn't partake of breakfast.

Only thing we could use of their breakfast was their coffee which was very good. If we weren't on a KETO-type way of eating it would have been good...too many carbs.

Our stay was for 2 nights with 2 rooms. One of the rooms had a refrigerator which didn't work and the tub/shower was so slick that neither my wife or I couldn't stand up to get out. I didn't even dare to try the shower. I had to help my wife get out without falling. They did allow us to use their refrigerator and it did work BUT it was quite a way from our room & I am 86 and walking that distance was a hardship for me. On the middle of the 2nd day of our stay the offered to replace the refrigerator that didn't work but that offer should have been made immediately when noticed upon the first day when we started to load it with the contents of our ice box.

A wonderful gem at a great price. It's a little older, but a clean and well kept hotel. Way better than many newer, higher priced hotels I've stayed in. The staff was great! Friendly, caring and a pleasure to deal with. My pet friendly room was large, clean, and comfortable. It had a couch and a recliner that was so comfortable, it made me feel like I was home. The free breakfast is waffles, smaller sized muffins, cereal, coffee, etc. For the price of the room, I'm surprised they can offer breakfast at all. I will not hesitate to stay here again and overall it's the best deal I've found in many travels.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Accommodation is conveniently located next to Hwy 69 so it's easy if you're travelling through and need a place to sleep for the night. Staff was friendly upon check-in and checkout. Easy and smooth process. (Especially if you've just been driving for a while) Room was spacious with good amenities for the price. (Especially for a single night)

Breakfast was basic (as expected), however there were some different options available. Accommodation is slightly older and feels like this.

This is by far the best place for a decent price that we have found in McAllister. We go here every year and spend a few days. The rooms are large and well maintained, and the place is very quiet. It smells decent too which is unusual for the McAllister motels. It's about five miles from town, but it's a very direct and easy route. It's well worth the drive.

There were three people in our party, but they gave us a smaller room with no sitting facilities except a single desk chair. When we changed to a larger room for only two people, we had a whole couch and chairs. We spent over a week here, and a room with some furniture would have been really nice.
