Flew to Knoxville TYS from Texas. Flight (on American) that was supposed to leave TX at 8:25am and arrive in TN after a stop in Dallas never actually happened. Delay after delay led to canceling and switching to United. Originally scheduled to arrive in TN at 2:00pm and did not arrive until almost 9pm. These travel plans were made in February. Kept the Holiday Inn informed of my schedule changes as I did not want to lose the room and they were most helpful. Flew to Knoxville for a concert at The Shed in Maryville, a terrific music venue near TYS and the Holiday Inn. Other concert goers also stayed at the same hotel. Checked in after the concert because I drove directly from TYS to The Shed. Still had a room which was clean, comfortable, etc. Went downtown to another nightclub called Three Doors Down which serves food until 1:30am and had great live music. Holiday Inn & Suites is a great choice for accommodations in the Knoxville / Maryville area! There are plenty of dining options near the hotel if you get there earlier.

Excellent breakfast, very close to Knoxville airport. The pool looked nice and clean. We appreciated that staff accommodated us with a late check out.

Scheduling a shuttle to the airport was difficult. It seemed that it was almost designed to be difficult, which is not acceptable for an airport hotel. Close to some good restaurants and a brewery that looked like a lot of fun.

The room was very clean and for me that is the most significant requirement for any hotel I use even if it has bare minimum of every other feature. The staff was really friendly and when I made a mess in the room I called to let them know and they assured and comforted me that it was okay and would be taken care of. The room was super comfy and we had our own thermostat to change our temperature at any time so that was a really nice touch! A final detail would be that the selection of microwavable food, snacks, drinks, and even medicine was really great, I had yet to see a hotel with such a helpful selection as my fiancé had a littkr gotten sick while we were there. Thank you for your service, when visiting family in Alcoa, we will definitely use the same hotel!

There is not really any negative points I could make, even when I needed an extra towel they answered the phone timely and made sure I could get one.

Breakfast was fine, especially on cheese omelet days!

Towel change and trash pick-up not always done, even when we were gone most of the day. But the staff was quick to correct the oversight. Also, we stayed 9 days, and it would have been nice to have the bathroom cleaned once during this longer stay. I believe the room was vacuumed once or twice. I had to request a change of sheets mid-week too. Again, it was done promptly once I asked.

The staff were friendly and helpful. I was surprised and delighted that my room was cleaned every day. You don't get that service anymore at hotels. Breakfast was good too.

The toilet was too low. I know that sounds silly but I am almost 80 and not as limber as I once was.

Facilities were clean and well kept. Breakfast was excellent. Location couldn't have been better. Having a private exterior entrance was extremely convenient.

One of the drawers in our room was broken and would not close completely. Did not impact our trip since we use clothes out of garment bags. Just something that was noted.

We did get any hot water for the shower. When I mentioned it to the front desk, we expected a small discount as hot water in a hotel seems to be the basics. But nothing came up. A little disappointing!!

The room was spacious and very clean and comfortable.

My husband was not happy with the breakfast. You had sausage gravy, bacon but no sausage. No microwave to heat up the Danish and other sweets. One poor guy was trying to keep up, but he had no help. You could hear other staff laughing and cutting up, but not working. Only apples available for fresh fruit. We were having to wait on items to eat. The food was good, just the service and availability was not Holiday Inn Express standards we were use to.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. And location close to family.

The breakfast could have a little more variety. But just a suggestion.

Accessible shower was not user friendly for an ambulatory amputee. Seated on the fold down chair had much difficulty reaching soap and water controls.
