We travel a lot for work, so we like to find comfortable, but affordable, hotels along our routes to stay at overnight. I took a chance here and immediately added it to my list of places to keep going to. Walking distance of a pizza hut, dollar store, and grocery store while being out of the way and not in the middle of "hotel cities" was so nice. I happened to be there on a weekend to try the food, but next time!

The beds could have been a tad more comfortable, but they weren't the worst compared to other affordable places. None of the pillows matched (coworker's complaint - my bonus) and the sheets sort of scratchy. That's just being nitpicky though.

We stayed in a two bedroom cabin and I loved how each room had its own bathroom. The shower was strong and good. Towels were large and soft. Hot tub was fun in the room and worked great. Bed was comfy. Parking great. Large living space and nice porch area. Although we didn't use the pool, it looked basic but clean and nice.

BAD smoke smell from the fireplace permeated the room. They really need to fix that. The pillows even smelled smoky. Need plugs in the bathrooms to blow dry hair. Need to clean the baseboards in bathrooms better and get rid of some cobwebs around the place.

The hotel has a nice western feeling. It is surrounded by beautiful nature, pool, cabins, live entertainment at their nice patio & grill restaurant on weekends. The bed was very comfortable & the room was large. We absolutely loved our stay! Friendly staff. When you wake up, you hear the birds singing from outside. Fresh coffee in the lobby daily. Pet friendly. Our room was very modern & clean (not outdated).

The ac/heater unit is loud. The fridge was small. Sometimes you can hear people talking from outside.

The very first thing we noticed was that our smoking room didn't wreak of smoke! I may smoke but that doesn't mean I want to smell it on everything. Nice location with gas stations and restaurants near by. Room was a good size. I slept better here than I did the whole week we spent at the Florida Vacation Condo that we had just left. My son-in-law said the same for them in their room. Pillows were neither too hard nor too soft. Bed was the same (which was very appreciated). The TV was easy to operate and came with a printed guide. The fan in the bathroom was very much appreciated. Coffee available in the lobby. Staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome!

There was no clock in the room. The heating/cooling unit was very loud when the fan kicked on. The room could have been cleaned a little better (walls and doors could use a good washing and the mirrors had a film on them) but we have stayed at Chain Hotels that were a lot grubbier. The floors were clean and there weren't any "name that stain" on the bed linens. All the furniture shows signs of wear but were clean. The restaurant is only open on the weekends in the winter so couldn't eat there during our stay.

The location to our family in area was great. 35 min to Chattanooga where we went to Rock city to see the lights, 8 minutes to the cross at Sewanee. Loved the balcony off the back rooms, open view of pool, bands, big field and it was worth the price. Oh and allowing your fur child to stay without a HUGE deposit is 100% the reason we will be back!!

I was fine with the “character” of an older hotel/motel that has been around a long time. Some people don’t care for the peeling wall paper or chipped paint, but it’s again just a place to sleep. The hardwood floors definitely need a good cleaning though. My feet were very dirty after a shower but the sink, tub, counters were clean (I brought cleaning supplies just in case bc of other reviews)

We were greeted by friendly employees and the check in process was quick and easy. The area for check in was cozy with a fireplace going, coffee set up nearby and very clean. It definitely set the tone for a nice stay. Also, the coffee maker in the room was very clean which we truly appreciated! Many times the hotel coffee makers are nasty.

We would have really liked a breakfast option at the hotel. The restaurant didn't open until 11 and there were very few options nearby. With no refrigerator or microwave, breakfast was difficult. The only other complaint was that the bed was not very comfortable, but it wouldn't deter us from staying again.

Room was fairly nice, but it was the little things that were noticed and appreciated. Hand held shower head with good pressure. Comfortable beds with nice comforter and 4 fluffy pillows per bed. Very nice prepared information book was put together in the room for guests to review. Nice solar lights illuminated walkways automatically while walking outside. Beautiful real wood burning fireplace in hotel lobby made a very nice ambience. The difference from ordinary and extraordinary is the word "extra." These little extras did not go unnoticed.

This hotel went above and beyond my expectations. It was super clean and comfy and even had a homey comfort feel. They let me check in early which was awesome! The people at the desk were very sweet and nice. TN people are the best. I'm from Kentucky and I'm super friendly and speak to everyone so these people were so nice. They are American owned which is a huge plus. I will definitely stay here again when I am going back to Georgia!!

There isn't anything I didn't like other than having to leave. This place was amazing!

It's beautiful on the outside. Pretty nice in the rooms. Standard room with bed tv and little coffee maker. The chair had huge stain but we put a towel over it to sit. Decent water pressure in the shower. The bed was comfy. Medium hardness for the mattress and 4 pillows on a queen. No bugs and it was clean. We stayed for a night so didn't see much else.

The only thing that went wrong was binder was missing from room so had to call for the wifi password. Not a big deal.

Decor of the building is beautiful. I love the rustic look. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even gave us recommendations for dinner when we checked in. They have cabins, we didn't stay in those this time but we will be back and we'll be staying in those. The lodge room was spacious and clean. They have a pool, it wasn't open yet for the season but looked nice. They also have a restaurant that's open on the weekends.
