Place was very clean. Pillows were surprisingly comfy-not like the usual very flat hotel pillows. Mattress was comfy as well. The desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Couldn’t beat the stay for the price! The appliances in our room all worked well. (No coffee maker in the room though) Overall the place was very quiet and peaceful! Lastly-the breakfast in the morning is mainly to-go options. You can make packaged oatmeal or grab a heated sandwich. There’s also cereal and some fruit but that was it. Again, for the price of the hotel I am not complaining!

When the AC turned on in the room it made noise for about a minute. (It would go quiet after)

We had a couple of things that didn't work in the room , we were offered to just get replacements but it would have just been easier to move rooms instead of having to wait for the staff to bring us the new items, replace the items. One of the staff members were scared of dogs so he was terrified to come in my room as well so it would have just been easier to just move rooms. But it was really no big deal, the staff was nice and friendly. I used to like fair field the best but now I love avid. I doooo wish that they left out some bananas and apples and maybe some bagels like other places do , basically the left over stuff from breakfast so it doesn't go bad. But I love this place so I will definitely go back

The look and the vibe were great. Staff was helpful and friendlyfriendly. I loved the coffee being available 24 hours, as well as the perfect blend that wasn't too strong! While I did not get to enjoy the breakfast, everything looked neat and stocked. The decor is great, and the lounge is very chill. The room is set up in a really unique way and is really a neat vibe! The bed was comfy, and so were the pillows!

The unit in the room made the room feel very sticky and humid, but it was cold. That is really the only complaint

This hotel is the perfect example of the saying "Less is More" ! This hotel is very basic, which isn't a bad thing at all. Its exceptionally clean and neat. Kudos to the Manager and Staff ! The minute you walk in, you notice its cleanliness.The breakfast is what one would call " Grab- N- Go". Prepackaged breakfast sandwiches, individually wrapped bagels, muffins, small. box cereals, fruit, coffee and juice. To some people, they may want a more traditional Continental breakfast, but this was a different concept. It was perfect ! If you don't want this type breakfast, theres resteraunts nearby, to get a more expanded menu. Now for the rooms ; Exceptionally clean, very comfortable beds, no carpet on floors, which is really nice. Rooms are basic, nothing on the walls. If your looking for a clean, comfortable room, and can live without all the extra bells and whistles this is it ! For the price, this is a very great value. You definitely get more for less. I highly recommend this hotel for a weekend stay to decompress and rest. We will definetly stay here again.

Tv in the lobby late at night was on a violent Japanese cartoon where a woman was chained to a bed scared and about to be tortured. Covered our eyes. Maybe the night attendant should be aware to change a channel incase hat occurs again as families are coming in and out of the lobby and that prompts fear before a night of rest.

I loved the location. It’s easy to get to and easy to park. It’s not too big so breakfast isn’t over crowded. It’s clean. Coffee is good. Breakfast is awesome. I honestly loved every single thing about this stay. The woman who was keeping up with breakfast cooking and stocking was so sweet. She made my kids some mini pancakes just for them. That was the talk of the day for them.

I have not a single complaint! It was wonderful.

The Avid is one of three in this brand owned by IHG (I asked). I'm sure they'll build many more. The appearance is fresh, with clean lines, and good use of space when you walk in. A full 24-hr. coffee/tea/water/juice station is well situated. A small thing but valuable, they give you larger cups than other places, and they come with a solid-fitting cover. No spilling hot liquid as you go back to your room. They offer several teas, including herbal flavors. No long walk to the rooms. We saw a small, but adequate gym a few doors away from ours. My wife used it, and it was fine. The beds are wonderful, the large TV is the perfect size, Internet was good, and the bathroom was excellent. They feature an upgraded showerhead that gives you a great flow of water. Breakfast is a bit different than other places, and I hope their model catches on. While most hotels in this price range offer a small buffet with a few choices, the selection on our one-day stay was an egg-white omelet with spices (good), sausage biscuit, and one other item (can't recall because I grabbed the omelet and moved on). In addition, there is a separate large table with fresh fruit, bagels, pastries, oatmeal, cereals, food bars, Chobani Greek yogurt (different flavors), and several more items. The bagels were big and fresh, and the fruit was ripe and good. I've had a ton of hotel buffets, and many are picked over or depleted by the time I got to them, and too many were just not very good. Avid doesn't try to replicate that style. We ate what we wanted and ended up grabbing some things to take back to the room for later. Is it a five-star breakfast? No, and that's not the goal. It's quick, has several options, and it's good. Plus that thing about taking a second round back to the room. Try it, and see if you don't agree. The price was very reasonable and the staff is courteous and friendly. Couldn't have asked for more.

From arrival to check out, the staff are excellent … the location is a little out of central Dallas but that’s what we needed - still plenty of places to eat and drink within 10mins drive (as well as some great ones within 5mins walk) … Facilities are fabulous and housekeeping was great! Overall a really good experience for a great price!

Staff could have let us know a little bit more- asked one member of staff about something happening in stockyards and he wasn’t able to answer very well just with “I’m not sure I don’t go there often” and was on his phone whilst this conversation happened

Nice new feel hotel. Descent for budget hotel, clean and good free breakfast. Free parking is nice. So many hotels gouging $25 for that these days.

My pillow sucked. No coffee maker in room. Free in lobby but required getting dressed and going down to lobby at 5 am for me. No bueno. Install the cheap little coffee makers and a few pucks.
