My husband and I have been staying here for the past 7 years. We love that we are able to safely park our vehicle at no charge while away on our cruise with no worries.

I would like to see more than one option for transportation to the cruise ship. Smith and Gold is the only option. My experience was absolutely terrible. I waited an hour for pick up after returning to the port. When the male driver finally got there. He said he wasn't loading our luggage because we didn't pay for that part of the service. Bad business. .

We’ve stayed at this property before, and have always felt comfortable here. The staff was attentive, the room was clean and well maintained, and the breakfast was very nice. We particularly liked that the desk clerk was able to help us find a really nice ride to and from the cruise terminal.

Nothing about the property was a problem. Its location, right next to the ferry terminal, meant that we had to get around traffic to the ferry to get to the property itself. Otherwise, there were no real negatives about the property.

I wasn't able to stay at the facility because it did not have an elevator. Would have given them a 10 if they had one. My wife and I are not able to use stairs due to medical reasons and I had to seek out another facility for us to stay at. The gentleman at the front desk was great, hospitable, professional, and very apologetic that the facility was not able to accommodate my wife and I.

The only complaint I have is there needs to be an elevator for those of us who cannot use stairs.

The room was nice, and the heater did work seeing that it was cool outside. I alway6s stay here when I come in town for my cruise and have told friends about this hotel.

In one of the rooms the heater did not work at all, and it was very cool in the room. The guy at the front desk was like he sorry but could not give me another room which I feel like that was wrong. I always stay there when I go on my cruise.

The checkin in and location. And the check out was easy, too. Mr. Lee was helpful. We did however have a surprise expense, which we didnt know about until check in. We were leaving on a cruise and were leaving our car there for our 14 days cruise. Turns out the 1st week is free, but, the second week cost about $50. Something new. We have stayed at the Scottish inn 4 times since we started cruising out of Galveston.

Surprise extra cost. I am disabled and it is difficult to walk up stairs to the second floorBut, I understand why a second and third floor. Due to the location of the motel to hurricanes, etc. Seems like a a pretty solid place, too. Will book again with them in the future.

The room, linens, and bathroom were all very clean but, it is looking a little shabby, the railings rusted, and it needs paint and no tarps on the roof. But I was cool enough, it was quiet enough, and it was very well priced. I'll stay again when I'm leaving Galveston on a cruise.

It is showing its age, needs to be painted on the outside side of the railings are almost rushed through. And there are tattoos on most of the roof.

Breakfast was ok even though i was looking for waffles and eggs & sausages, i like were the pool was in front were we stayed at the worker had good hospitality!!

Well it was old water bottle left in the drawer and the bed mattress need to be spray off before putting clean sheets on them i seen a few little bugs on the bed it was hard for me to tell wha they were i was gonna go complain about it, but my husband told me no we will go buy some bug spray tomorrow so tha wha we did spray the bed and put sheets back on after tha i slept comfortably tha next night cause i couldn't go to sleep tha first night wen i seen them few bugs on the bed it scared me.

Free cruise parking with stay. Room had everything we needed. They have shuttle service that can take you to cruise port for a fee. Friendly staff. We were very happy with the value of our stay.

Next time I will bring my own pillows. The ones they have are thin. We are headed there today for a cruise and are staying there tonight.

It’s was a smooth experience ! We stayed here to take the Royal Caribbean cruise and it was so easy to go there the next morning The shuttle transportation was only $10 each way per person. Super recommend for just the night before your cruise

The smell

I needed a place for the night prior to embarking on a 14-day cruise. The accommodation was clean and quiet, and the parking was included -- that was the clincher, so it exceeded my expectations. BL: I got what I for. If I was taking my wife (she's picky and needs a more modern, up-to-date place, then I would have been willing to pay 2-3 times as much and expectations would have been much higher. But my criteria is different so this was fine. I hear they may start charging for parking, if so, that will change where I stay in the future, but until then it's The Scottish Inn without a doubt

It was all fine and commensurate with the price.
