My partner and I loved Inn on the River. They were accommodating to our two small dogs and were just steps from the river. We usually drive (and sometimes pay) for river access parking, but there was no need to even move the car from here. The room was cute and clean, and the rest of the inn was well maintained and inviting. Breakfast was delicious! We were also able to order food and drinks from the restaurant to enjoy while sitting on the lawn overlooking the river. We drive down from Dallas a couple times a year and will most definitely be back.

The location was superb. We were able to enjoy the town square, shops, restaurants, and the Dinosaur Valley State Park. We liked the creativity with breakfast and of course we thoroughly enjoyed the mystery murder dinner fun. Oh! We also walked several times along the river and saw plenty of beauty.

I would recommend that you keep hot water available for tea drinkers and perhaps some light snacks such as fruit, crackers, etc. in the dining area. When we travel with children these special touches sure come in handy!

I absolutely loved our time here at a real B&B. It feels like what they used to be and should be but so hard to find these days. Family friendly staff and hospitality with a beautiful cooked breakfast. The room was comfortable, the loungers by the lake was the perfect spot to relax with a book. It was a peaceful and relaxing getaway from Dallas which is exactly what I wanted. I really hope to visit again someday.

Lovely place and setting. After a long ride we were delighted to find a bar/restaurant on premises. We dine outside by the river, the food was excellent. The bed in the room was comfortable, everything nice and clean and the atmosphere of the inn, the kind helpful owner, Pamela and her wonderful dogs made it for a delightful relaxing stay. We were going to a graduation in Stephenville, Glen Rose is closed by and lovely.

Historic building, old house have always some compromises comparing to modern hotels, but their charm make up for it. It's a choice.

The location was great and the free kayaks they let us use made it worth it more so. We had alot of fun and enjoyed the old school hotel. It was beautiful. We liked that there wasn't a TV in the room, making us always out doing stuff- which was a bonus.

We go to the Inn on the River as often as we can for a quiet getaway from the city. The rooms were clean. The staff is phenomenal, very friendly and extremely accommodating! Being a pet friendly retreat is the cherry on top!

That we couldn't stay longer..... This job thing is getting in the way of out lives.

Breakfast was very good and made fresh! Pam was an awesome person to deal with there and she is a great person, very accommodating. Room was clean and bed was comfortable with nice sheets. Location is great too. Recommend staying at her place!

The location was perfect. We wanted to see the dinosaur tracks at the state park and it was a short drive there. The Inn was like staying in someone's home. Very welcoming and comfortable. The Inn had two sweet dogs that greeted us upon our arrival. The owner was friendly and attentive to all our questions. The breakfast was amazing and so was the coffee. Our room was so clean, cool and comfortable. I am so glad we stayed here.

This was a great place for us to stay with our two kids. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the two room queen suite was great. Free plated breakfast each morning (and the staff accommodated is being vegetarian) and within walking distance of the town square and a short drive to the fossil rim wildlife preserve, dinosaur world, and dinosaur valley state park.

Nothing, but be aware that there are no fridges or TVs on the rooms.

The owners are so welcoming, and we were treated like family. The breakfast is amazing and fresh, served in a beautiful room that overlooks the river. We loved the outdoor seating by the river. And thank you most of all for helping to keep our dog calm and make her feel welcome.
