The room was very comfortable after we got it warmed up. We enjoyed the breakfast, and parking was very easy in front of the inn. It was also well located so that we could easily walk to nearby restaurants while we were waiting for our room to get comfortable. COA is a great restaurant about 5 minutes away..

The heating was not explained to us until we complained about how cold the room was (67 degrees). It turns out that it is floor heating, and can take 3-4 hours to warm up to the temperature we set on the thermostat (72).Why wouldn't the room be heated in advance of our arrival? Even though it was easy to reach someone by phone when we arrived (no-one at the front desk), we felt it would be more welcoming to have the desk manned during the major check in times. Also, we would have liked to sit in the living room and enjoy our glass of wine instead of finding out that we had to drink it in our room.

BREAKFAST WAS GREAT! SO LOVELY AND RELAXING AT THIS B & B. The location to the Tulip fields is fabulous and to the overall area makes this place so convenient and a great choice to visit the local area including Anacortes, taking a ferry, exploring Whidby island, La Conner, etc.

We last stayed 10 yrs ago and right away certain things seemed different. We learned it is under new management. Initially we were somewhat disappointed but, overall, it didn't impact us or the time we spent at the B & B as it is still a wonderful place to stay.

Cosy room, nice breakfast room, quiet area, quiet rooms and halls, ample parking, very close to the Main Street where all the boutiques and restaurants are located. Good attention to detail everywhere on the property.

An attendant in the breakfast room other than the cook, who came out to take orders. Since my last visit several years ago, it appears that the breakfast has become more self serve. I would like to have a coffee maker such as a Nespresso or Keurig in my room. Just to have a nice coffee before heading downstairs.

We really enjoyed our stay there. As we entered the room we were greeted by the gentle soundscapes playing on the TV. The kingsized bed was wonderfully soft. We also loved - and enjoyed - the jacuzzi. The view from the porch was a pleasant pastoral vista where we sat and read our books. The free breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices. And the staff were warm and friendly. Altogether a very pleasant experience. We'd definitely go back there again.

Honestly, there was nothing to dislike.

The beds are so comfortable; complimentary two-course breakfast is consistently fantastic, and we're able to bring it to our room on a bed tray free of additional charge; the location is gorgeous; close proximity to great restaurants, shopping, and waterfront; check-in is so quick and simple; staff are friendly; it's quiet and peaceful; large Jacuzzi tub and fireplace are always so relaxing; heated floors; private balcony or deck with garden access; overall, it's such a serene environment that is becoming our routine getaway spot!

The sound on the TV stopped working at one point, but we were easily able to learn from the manager how to fix it without too much trouble. Apparently it's a network glitch that happens there from time to time - she said it had something to do with their location not receiving the best satellite dish connection. It only happened the second time we stayed there, and even though we were frustrated and confused, it was a simple fix.

One of the quietess, most comfortable places we've stayed in 5 decades of travel. Clean, wonderful staff and an incredible bed with a great fireplace. Breakfast was well above most included breakfast experiences including a delightful morning special. Breakfast is 8-9 am FYI you want to sleep in. Multiple restaurants are a 2 minute drive or a 10 minute vertical walk up a hill (you can roll down the other side).

There was a little misunderstanding about the room - my booking through bookingdotcom showed a room with a fireplace, but that's not what I was given. Within hours they upgraded me to a beautiful suite with a jacuzzi and balcony and fireplace! I have to say I was thrilled - it was my birthday and I was away on my own - so it just made my stay! Breakfast (included) was fabulous too!

The included breakfasts were delicious. It did take us a day or 2 to realize that the menu was posted and there was a choice of 2. The rooms were lovely. We had both suites on the first level and queen size beds on the second floor. Beds and linens comfortable. Loved the location, convenient for everyone to walk and go off in small groups and meet back at the hotel without use of a car.

What was surprising was the "weed" odor through the corridors. I don't have a problem with smoking weed, however we all commented that we hoped no one had breathing allergies because the smokiness in the hallways was overwhelming at times. Thank goodness, absolutely none of it was in the bedrooms so sleeping was terrific.

Breakfast was good. Breakfast staff was friendly.

It wasn't very clean, someone's socks were under the bed along with bottle caps. Spoon outside on the balcony. Had lamps on each side of the bed. One side had no plug in....so I guess it for looks, not functional. No cookies or water bottles in our room. There was no ice in the ice chest. We were looking forward to chilling our champagne for a wedding toast. This was the place we stayed for our 1st weekend getaway when we were dating that's why we choose here for our honeymoon even though it was an hour and 15 minutesfor our venue, we were a little disappointed.

Attractive inn (small hotel) with very pleasant breakfast room, good breakfast, and attentive staff. Our room was pleasant, charming, clean, and comfortable. Good bed. Nice place to stay in La Conner.

Never did meet the host, as access to our room was provided in an envelope waiting for us at the front desk, and we didn't see anyone at the desk when we checked out in the morning. Small point, to be sure, but it did detract a bit from the feeling that this was a small, personally run inn.
