Breakfast was fine for a quick getaway. Coffee - good coffee, this is Washington State after all - and yogurt, oj, apples (local!) and a pastry type items. Just grab 'n go. With excellent fine farm-to-table dining options all around the Skagit Valley and an IHOP across the street, something for every taste readily available if one wants something more elaborate. The location is a bit out of town, about a 10 minute drive if that, but despite its proximity to the freeway, it was quiet. Good beds, bedding and a comfortable, clean, unpretentious, well-furnished room in good condition.

I liked the layout of the room. I had the ADA unit so the bathroom was especially spacious. The sink area was well-lit and the room was painted a decorator color that harmonized with the furniture. It felt like someone had given some thought to the light fixtures, etc., so it was very relaxing. The continental breakfast at the office had excellent coffee.

I was super pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms, building and parking lot because this is one of the cheaper, lower end motels in the area. Ive stayed at the quality inn next door and the other handful of nearby hotel/motel choices but never the Tulip Inn. For some reason I had preconceived notions about the place and thought I knew what it looked like and exactly where it was located but NOPE! I was either confusing it with a different place or simply just mistaken. I booked a same day 2-bed queen room via booking.com for $105 and paid online. Fully expected to have to pay a deposit upon arrival but they didn't ask me to or put a credit card on file. I ended up booking another night and would have happily stayed longer if the place wasn't fully booked already up for the weekend. Staff was accommodating and friendly, even let me borrow a charger for my phone for a few hours. In summary, this motel is the best overall option over comparably priced/located competitors.

The "breakfast" was practically non-existent, might as well just not offer it as an amenity at all. The set up was just a counter with a mini fridge consisting of half n half, orange juice🍊 and bottled water in front desk area/lobby. Oh and drip coffee thermos + sugar packets. I also didnt appreciate the staff accusing us of smoking and I quote, "i dont know what but you were smoking something in here". I smoked 2 ciggs outside in the designated smoking area the entire two days that I stayed there. Luckily I remembered that we had a couple candles going throughout the night until morning and the holders were still warm to the touch. I showed them that and they sheepishly retired the subject and didn't charge me for smoking damages.

It was on the ground floor, so there was no need to carry things upstairs. The parking lot was easily accessible from the room, and the inn was only a couple minutes away from the highway.

The pipes were so loud that we were woken up at 5:00 AM every day by our upstairs neighbor showering. I recommend anyone staying here to sleep with earplugs.

Room was very nice. Clean and well appointed. We appreciated having two chairs and a table. The bed was comfortable too.

Limited hot water in the shower rather quickly after beginning. Also the highway noise was a little problematic. We used ear plugs so we did okay. I have stayed in other hotels with noise issues and the provided earplugs.

Easy check in. Room was clean and comfortable. The even had 4 pillows on each of our queen beds, which is a HUGE plus for us. Breakfast was good, great coffee and muffins, but not eggs or breakfast sandwiches Wonderful stay and will book again.

The ladies at the front desk were very kind and helpful. They gave us the last first floor room which was very appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a pleasant little motel

The parking down at the corner of where the 2 buildings meet was a bit awkward. If you weren't careful you could have been blocked in because of where the spaces met. We could have used a few more plugs to hook up our electronics. Breakfast was grab and go.

The continental breakfast was a nice surprise! All the staff were very friendly. The young man on duty in the morning checked out the leak in the bathtub within 10 minutes of my mentioning it. It was NOT a problem, only an observation.

Grab and go breakfast with fruit, yogurt, breakfast cookie, and a granola bar. There was also orange juice, coffee, and bottled water, and a breakfast sandwich upon request. The location was great as I could walk to Wal-Mart across the street and there were a couple of restaurants and convenience stores close by.

Freeway noise. No other issues.
