The rooms have all been updated and the owner has a great eye for the remodeling he did. The bed was very comfortable. They have half wine barrels that they use to plant flowers and vegetables and it was a great view of the plants from our room. There are adirondack chairs outside of each room.

It would have been nice if the fridge in the room was a bit bigger. And the toilet tank was very slow to refill, so you can't have back to back use of it.

I had a great stay at Pitchwood Inn! The property has a cozy, rustic charm with clean and comfortable rooms that felt well-maintained. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. I especially appreciated the friendly staff and the convenience of having a great bar and restaurant right on-site—fantastic food and drinks added to the experience.

If I had to nitpick, parking was a little limited, but it wasn’t a major issue.

It was a very cute property. Outside they had some garden beds and a fire pit and a small fenced area. Each room had its own outside entrance and they were painted different colors but all connected together. Part of the property included a bar that served amazing food and fabulous drinks. It was on the outskirts of town and during the week I’m sure most of the shops would’ve been open we went on a weekend. Our room had a full kitchen, apartment, size refrigerator, four burner stove with an oven microwave sink pots pans, dishes. Reminiscent of a studio apartment.

We had a situation with the shower pan in the shower that we have communicated to the facility. The bathroom was slightly small.

Enjoyed the room. The layout and the theme are unique. The bathroom was well kept and clean. Shower was in the room we had. The little sitting 2 chairs are also different to enjoy. The outside door area has a very cute little sitting area, raised bed that seemed to have possible strawberries growing. Love it! The restaurant has a nice place to enjoy meals there and a bar.

The only thing was the king bed was lower at the head area, so all we did was grabbed the pillows and slept at the foot area and passed out nicely. Maybe it was the floor area sinking by the head area but still liked the design it ALL had.

Bunk beds are perfect for family with kids. My kids were thrilled to have their own individual beds. Especially, the upper level. Kitchen in the room is convenient. Easy to bring some ingredients and make for breakfast. For some reason, the duvets were really comfortable. One bonus to have good sleep at night.

Mattresses are on the softer side. Like it or not depending on the individual. The shower isn’t great. Super small for one person. If you have limited mobility, this is an issue. I hardly able to turn around in the shower stall.

The patio area was very nice and the room was very nice. Easy walk to the restaurant.

It was hot that evening and there is no AC, when we opened the window it was across from the Refrigerator for the bar and ran all night. Ear plugs were provided on the table and we could get some cross breeze with a back window. AC would be appreciated.

Lovely little hotel--great character in the remodelling, and very comfortable bed & clean room. I didn't need the ear plugs they had available (room next to me was empty, other guests were there for work, and early risers, so no late night noise, and a quiet town). The dinner I had from the attached pub was excellent. The courtyard area was really nice with lots of seating options & lovely hanging plants & containers, and they let me park my scooter inside the courtyard, near my room's door. The coffee provided in the room was tasty, and I thoroughly enjoyed it during a quiet morning sitting at one of the picnic tables in the courtyard before I had to leave. I enjoyed the stay, and intend to stay again when I can make time to get back to visit the museums and explore the area some more!

Would suggest some blinds for the back facing windows--or eye covers.... My room was lovely and comfortable, but the bathroom ventilation fan was either installed backwards, or it was about to fail--making noises a good bath ventilation fan should not.

H&H dinner two blocks down is amazing for breakfast!! Otherwise Pitchwood had it all, comfort, clean, quiet and very welcoming!!!

We are coffee drinkers and a restock of both creamer and coffee for the second morning would have helped otherwise not a bad thing to say about this gem!!

The rooms were very nicely appointed and spotless. Apparently all the rooms are decorated differently and the one we were in had an impressive amount of wood. The nearby restaurant/bar of the same name is also great. I particularly enjoyed my steak dinner. They've got a decent selection of micro-brews as well.

I liked everything. The place exceeded my expectations.

Loved the room, loved the courtyard and garden area, the bed was comfortable and there was food on-site. Easy check in through the bar. Quiet at night. Very darling and sweet place to stay. I just loved it.

The bathroom was tiny, as others have mentioned, but I didn't really mind....just be aware. I would have loved an AC or bigger fan for at night...had to leave the windows open for air and that felt like I had no privacy. Not a whole lot going on in this town, and really, the motel was a bright spot in an otherwise dreary town.
