This was a nice stop for us and our family. I very small, quaint hotel that felt safe and secure. The room was comfortable and clean. It's always nice having a fridge and microwave. We had great pizza from the local bowling alley and there are several other small restaurants nearby. There was a mention of "very good breakfast included" on the listing... Although there were no problems with it, it was just very basic offerings. Cereal, yogurt, muffins, bread, bagels(with toaster) bananas, oranges and there was a pancake machine which actually was a new experience and as an adult, I did find this a bit entertaining. Everything was well stocked, fresh, and very clean area!

We have relatives in Chetek. The hotel is conveniently located near them. It is right off of the main highway, but not so close that you hear the traffic. The main drag is just up the road. Personally, I would recommend that anyone looking at online reviews of this facility overlook the negative comments. I couldn’t find anything about which to complain.

What could have been better? Anyone can always do better. If you want me to pick nits, the breakfast (like practically every hotel breakfast) could be better, but what was served was better than I serve myself at home, maybe add some fresh fruit and fresh pastries.

Nothing really, only thing they have Satellite tv which is fine, but would like info how to find what channels are available and how get them. Front desk did not help, said instructions on sheet on table between beds, there was just clock. Checked every drawer, table, etc nothing. Also found book about facilities, area, attractions etc it does need be updated, esp listings for area church’s info outdated, or missing.

The staff where friendly and extremely helpful. The king room we got was cute and cozy. Definitely took a bath in the big tub every night. The breakfast that was offered was more then expected. I was thinking they would only offer muffins and instant oatmeal but there was much more. They gave fresh fruit, diffrent types of cereal, diffrent types of bread and bagels, packaged eggs and breakfast sandwiches. Definitely everything was more then I expected so I'm vary happy and satisfied with my stay. If I go back up north I'll definitely book agian.

The location was great as we attended a wedding at The Mill

I didn't like that we couldn't check in an hour early so that we could get ready for a wedding at 4.:00 PM therefore having to take off work at come a day early. But than there's a reason for that.... and it just isn't because the rooms wouldn't be ready. There were 3 cars in the parking lot.

The front desk attendant, Staci, was wonderful. She went out of her way to make for a great stay. She even made us a pizza so we didn't have to venture out on the rain. The pool area was also quite nice. Also good laundry area.

Clean and the beds were comfortable.

The no check-in before 3. We arrived at 2:30, and we're told the system wouldn't let us in until 3. The rooms were ready so we had to leave and come back later. Terrible policy. I get if the room isn't ready, but the place was not busy. Another visitor behind us was told the same and he was definitely not happy.

Nice spacious room, friendly staff. The bald eagles nesting behind the hotel offered my friends from Germany a great picture with our stars and stripes - only one eagle, but it was enough for a awesome memory! Close to the highway, less than 10 minutes from the wedding and Rice Lake. The small incident with the credit card reader has been resolved. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay!

The breakfast was the same breakfast I have at any other hotel I have stayed at. I stay out of town 60 days a year for work and pleasure.

The view from my room was just a hill in the back. I really doesn’t bother me. I pretty much much liked everything didn’t really know what to put here.

Clean convenient

This is the second time that I have stayed at the property, Check in around 5pm. Two staff at the desk were carrying on a conversation and continued there whole conversation while checking us in . We did not feel welcome at all said staff member was rude and abrupt . Am staff at checkout was very friendly!
