Ametist Hotel in Samarkand is a hidden gem! It’s a new, modern, and not-too-big hotel that feels both stylish and cozy. Everything is spotless, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The spa area with an indoor pool is a great bonus, and the charming courtyard with a fountain adds a lovely touch. The staff are exceptionally kind and helpful — you really feel cared for. Breakfast was a highlight: delicious, fresh, and full of seasonal berries and fruits. And the bed? Absolutely amazing — super comfortable for a perfect night’s sleep. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy Samarkand. Highly recommended!

Wonderful attentive staff who make you feel welcome, the rooms are extremely comfortable & luxurious and the spa facilities are great! They’re happy to arrange taxis, provide advice on the local area, how to sort things in Uzbekistan, etc. Was great for us as this was our first stop in the country, we felt really welcomed in. We loved this place so much that when our trip took us back through the city we immediately rebooked!

It is a bit of a walk to the centre of things in Samarqand, but you spend most of that walk through a lovely park, so this is fine for us (may not be for others). It’s about 20 minutes, depends if that sounds like a normal distance to you or not. Other than that, the breakfast service is a little hit and miss - the food is good, but sometimes it can be a little slow or things might not arrive. Just a couple of tweaks needed there, I think.

Very friendly and helpful staff. It was still easy enough to get to the sights while being in a decent neighbourhood with local dinner options. Great cafe nearby! Very spacious room with a comfortable bed. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Small point, but access to the pool was limited to certain hours (7am to 1pm) with further restrictions due to cleaning times. Would be nice to go for a dip at the end of a day's sightseeing.

The facilities are brand new and clean. The staff is super helpful, they will try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. All the stay was amazing!

A small thing, but I will still share. We were in Samarkand for the New Year. The restaurant nearby offers celebrations. That’s why some of the days the music was too loud, it was hard to sleep. Maybe as advice, do not offer guests the rooms which are the closest to the restaurant building for these times.

Hotel has nice sauna and spa area. Rooms are spacy and clean. Location to all Samarkand main tourist attractions is good, not too far away. I have staid at this hotel 2 times, and would stay again.

Breakfast needs some improvement - too many items obviously prepared in the evening and they were not fresh any more. And as a question of principle - more than 1 cup of coffee could be included in the price...

- Nice rooms, comfy beds. - Very clean, great bathrooms. - Good breakfast. - Spa was very good, excellent steam room. - Location was pretty good, we walked to the attractions, about 30 mins to Registan Sq through lovely parks most of the way.

- We had an issue with the heat pump where we couldn’t cool the room one of the nights and it was very hot. Didn’t have a great sleep.

Very nice modern hotel with clean rooms and a good restaurant/ breakfast buffet which is open until late hours. The location of the hotel is close to the Bulvar and is very convenient and safe. Staff is friendly and polite and speaks multiple languages, including English and Persian/ Tajik.

The hotel seems new Comfortable bed and spacious room The staff is nice and welcoming I quite didn’t get the location… kinda far from major attractions, you’ll need to get taxis to get around. Another disappointment was that the AC didn’t work in my room and it was super hot, but it was only in my room, so I guess I just got unlucky. Can’t say much about breakfast, cos I didn’t go

New facilities and comfy bed. Good buffet breakfast with variety of food available. I used spa as well and enjoyed it very much: sauna, hammam, massage room - all new, and services provided are great.

I heard a little bit neighbors behind the wall. And sometime I had challenges with the internet connection.

We are a family of 4, we stayed 2 nights at the beginning and at end of our Uzbekistan trip. The first night we booked the biggest family room which more than perfect for 4 people as it had 2 big double beds, I would really recommend that. The restaurant is good and the breakfast ok, my daughter claimed she had the best prawns of her life… The staff is very kind.
