This hotel provides a 5+ stars experience ! Certainly one of the best experiences among many hotels (worldwide) if we compound many criteria. ALL the staff is very kind : receptionists, housekeepers, cooks, etc. They really care of you... Should I mention the private swimming pool & sauna that is open 24h/24 and that is available upon reservation providing a priceless intimate experience ? Yes, incredible ! Do you know about the Secret restaurant ? Well, it's a secret :)... Go discover it ! Many thanks to the Shohjahon Palace staff for this unforgettable experience !

Excellent location, a few meters from the iconic Registan Square. Staff professional and friendly, helped us with many recos and trip arrangements (train, taxi). A SPA is available also.

There is not a lift. Although the staircases are very comfortable, those who consider this an issue should better be aware. In our case it was no problem, though.

Brand new hotel, very clean, great water pressure and very friendly staff. You can reserve pool for a private session which was nice too.

I thought the location would be better but it was in a neighborhood (run down but safe and family friendly). The breakfast was awful.

We arrived a couple of hours earlier and asked if I could check in and it was possible. On top of that they allowed us to have breakfast as well.

The hotel has a wonderful aesthetic and is in a great location being just a 10 minute walk to Registan Square. However, the most positive experience were the amazing staff. In particular, we were so grateful to the lady at the front desk during our stay (really wish we had taken her name!), she was so friendly, would give us great recommendations on restaurants and places to visit, and just overall so helpful! The whole staff would go above and beyond, including helping translate for us when we had a mix up with a driver ha. Breakfast was really nice and spa facilities top notch as well. Could not recommend this place enough, you will really be looked after!

Wifi was a little glitchy at times, but never to the point that it was bothersome.

A wonderful hotel in Samarkand nestled in a quiet residential area. It has a good breakfast. The staff were friendly. The hotel has a spa, pool, and a turkish bath. The building itself is beautiful. Within walking distance to Registan Square and most other tourist attractions. The staff were great to call on New Year's Eve to go to the roof to see the hotel fireworks and a panoramic view of the city's fireworks. The breakfast is basic but had everything you would need.

The room was a tad bit small. The bathroom had a terrible blocked drain smell. Upon checking out, the staff took very long to come to the counter. The rooms were not very soundproof.

The hotel is location is excellent where it is close to regestan and other site seen location also close to street full of verity of restaurant The hotel staff are very help and speck English, they go extra mile to help their guest I personally had in EID holidays where everything close I had an issue with my mobile SIM card and without the internet I can’t go anywhere since I’m using the Taxi App, so I don’t have to explain to the taxi driver where to go (I don’t speak Uzbek neither Russian ) so the lady in the reception (Pervana ) gave me her personal sim card until they open the shops and I fix my sim Also, the manager Jaffer was so kind and nice to help me with information around and check if the places I’m visiting are open since we are in EID holidays The breakfast is very good and testy , I used their SPA and its very clean and relaxing The room is well maintained and its has all what you need I enjoyed my stay in this hotel and I recommend it for Samarkand visitor

The location is amazing - most of the city's attractions are in the range of a 5-30 minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel's presidential suite is quite likely the most impressive piece of lodging in Samarkand, potentially rivalled only by some offerings that could be found in a relatively distant conference center. The staff is extraordinarily helpful and caring. The hotel itself is beautiful.

Minor caveats - the quality of provided cosmetics could be a spot better, and breakfast selection could do with expanding with local specialities (fresh nons, brewed black tea, some lamb, and a mandu or somsa would be amazing). One does need to consider the fact that despite this, Shohjahon still stands head and shoulders above any local competition.

The bed is a little stiff

Fantastic boutique hotel with amazing service and excellent amenities. Great location in the heart of the old city on a quiet neighborhood street. The staff are wonderful here, going the extra mile, even when they didn't have to. They were very helpful and accommodating with our very late post midnight checkout. We were in the inner building which I think is nicer.

They have a beautiful rooftop restaurant. It was unfortunate that it was closed for the cold season. Though it would have been perfect for breakfast. And the duvets were a little bit too small.
